We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
I don’t really have much to talk about. My two weeks have still been pretty boring. I’m still mostly home letting my hand heal. Last week I went to work on Wednesday for a few hours and this week I’ll be going in two mornings. I’m slowly going back to my normal schedule, but without rushing it. I don’t want to rush things and make it worse again.
The temperatures here have been getting warmer. While it’s nice to see the sun more and enjoy nicer weather I have to say I’m not a fan of the higher temperatures. The humidity gets terrible here. It does make it possible to make some tasty treats to cool us down.
Since my last Royal Update I added 8 new ARCs to my Kindle. Oops! I have to say I really want to read them all. It isn’t good for my feedback ratio on Netgalley though, haha.
Since my last post I read: Dial A for Aunties, Just Pretend, Instructions for Dancing, A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, Undercover Bromance, Dumplin’, Honey Girl, Heartstopper Vol. 3 and Dare to Live, Dare to Love.
At the moment I’m reading Red Queen, King of Scars, Six Stories, Malamander, Mirrorland, A Reaper at the Gates, Crazy Rich Asians and Jay’s Gay Agenda.
I really thought that I had saved some bookish news to share with you today, but I can’t find it. And I can’t remember what it was. If I do remember again I’ll share it when I write my next Royal Update.
Shopping still isn’t something I’ve done much of lately. I ordered a new pair of pants for the warmer weather for work. Other than that nothing new has come in.
Just like a lot of people I watched the first episode of Loki on Disney+. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be watching every episode. There’s a lot more to this character than we think.
Also, the boyfriend and I have had a movie night on Saturday the past two weeks. We’ve watched The Prom and The Kissing Booth. The Prom started out really over the top and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, but it definitely got better as it went along and had a really important message. The Kissing Booth was really cute and it actually makes me want to pick up the first book. I’ll definitely be watching the second movie soon.
Recently while I was reading on the couch the boyfriend put on a playlist on Spotify. A song from One Republic came on and I really forgot about them lately. So I decided to change that and listen to one of their albums that I love!
So that’s how my past two weeks have been! How have you been? Read anything interesting? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
Great list of books. The only one I’ve read is It’s Raining Men, which was a cute book. Looking forward to your review of the others!
Thanks for sharing the book list! I’m interested to read the crazy rich asian.. looking forward for your next review!
