LOKI LOKI LOKI LOKI LOKI!! My favorite MCU character has his own tv show and the first episode aired last Wednesday on Disney+. So of course I watched it and had to talk about it. I’ll share some of my thoughts to tie me over to next Wednesday when we get the second episode <3 !Spoilerfree!
The mercurial villain Loki resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Episode 1: Loki, the God of Mischief, finds himself out of time and in an unusual place and forced – against his godly disposition – to cooperate with others.
The sole reason I got Disney+ was because they announced a Loki tv show. Of course I’ve found amazing content in all the time I had to wait for this show but Loki was always the main reason. It got delayed a bit but a while ago we finally got the official trailer. And it looked SO GOOD. I also adored WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier so my expectations for Loki are very very high.
While I knew this was Loki as he was before everything that happened in Ragnarok, Infinity War, Endgame etc and he was like he was in the first Avengers film, I was surprised at first. He definitely acted ‘different’ but that just made so much sense! I loved how that worked within his timeline. It was also heartbreaking seeing all the progress lost.
This episode really set up the rest of the show and I love seeing where this is going. Of course I already have a ton of theories but I won’t spoil anything about the episode. It started off with a lot of humor and I laughed out loud multiple times. Hopefully we’ll get more of those moments in the future episodes.
Tom Hiddleston showed us his amazing acting abilities and really made me cry as well. Because this episode wasn’t just funny. It also had a lot of feelings in it. And my feelings were hurt haha. Disney/Marvel never disappoints in making me cry ;).
All in all I can say that I LOVED the first episode. It will be so hard to wait a whole week before the next episode but I do like that it builds up the hype this way. Have you seen this episode yet? What did you think? Let me know down below!
I enjoyed the first episode of Loki too. I laughed many times as well and teared up in one certain part. I can’t wait to see where the story goes!
Agreed 100%!! <3
