We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
Since my last Royal Update not much has really happened. My hand was still really bothering me and seemed to be feeling worse, so it was back to the doctor’s office for me. I just haven’t given it enough rest apparently. So I got anti-inflammatory pills and the instructions to relax. Shasta has been cuddly and making sure I relax my hand.
So I haven’t worked the last week and a half and this week I’m home as well. For that reason life hasn’t been very exciting. The boyfriend’s parents visited us and I’ve been relaxing a lot, so my hand will heal. It’s been good for my reading though!
Since my last Royal Update I’ve added seven new ARCs to my Kindle. Five out of the seven are for book tours.
Since my last Royal Update I’ve read Better Than the Movies, Spirit Hunters, The Roommate, He’ll Be Waiting, Fearless, Crooked Kingdom, Pizazz, Eva Evergeen Semi-Magical Witch and Arsenic and Adobo.
I’m currently reading Red Queen, King of Scars, Dial A for Aunties, Undercover Bromance, and The Immortal Game.
This upcoming week I’ll be reading The Crown of Gilded Bones, Just Pretend, Spark to Shadow, Instructions for Dancing, and Dare to Live, Dare to Love.
There was one bookish news item this week that caught my attention. Here’s the cover reveal for a book I can’t wait to get my hands on!
I forgot to take a picture, but I actually bought two bottles of nail polish. Being home from work has made it possible for me to have my nails done. At work I work with food, so I’m not allowed to wear it.
I wanted something to watch earlier this week, so was scrolling through Netflix and stumbled upon Atypical. This is a show I started watching I think a couple of years ago. I got over halfway through the second season, so I thought it was time to finish the second season and start the third.
Last week the movie The Age of Adaline was on TV here and I decided it was time to watch it. The movie was actually really good and maybe even a bit different than I was expecting. I’m glad I decided to sit down and watch it.
I’ve been going back to the 90s a lot lately when listening to music on my way to work and while I shower. This playlist has been playing lately. I was 2 in 1990 and 11 in 1999, so I definitely grew up hearing a lot of these songs.
So that’s how my last two weeks have gone. How are you? Read any good books? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
