We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is book titles that are complete sentences. I don’t think I’ve ever done one like this. I’m going to have to look through my shelves and Goodreads for this one. Let’s take a look! I’ll be using a combination of books I’ve read and haven’t read yet.
Lucy Clark Will Not Apologize – Margo Rabb
Lucy Clark Will Not Apologize is a recent release and I didn’t know about it until someone posted on Bookstagram. I have a feeling this is a mystery combined with a contemporary and I’m very interested!
Things to Do Before the End of the World – Emily Barr
Can you imagine knowing the world will end on a certain day? That sounds like such a scary things to know. I did read this book and unfortunately it just wasn’t for me. The synopsis put me on the wrong trail and a character that annoyed me didn’t help.
From the Desk of Zoe Washington – Janae Marks
I really loved From the Desk of Zoe Washington. The audiobook was really good! For different reasons I really related with this book and I’m sure that helped as well. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this author.
The Princess Saves Herself in This One – Amanda Lovelace
I’m not much of a poetry reader, but after seeing The Princess Saves Herself in This One everywhere I decided to give it a try on Storytel. This one really surprised me in such a positive way. I’ll definitely be reading the rest of the books this author has released. There’s so much emotion in these poems.
All Rhodes Lead Here – Mariana Zapata
Mariana Zapata has written quite a few books if I remember correctly and I hear nothing but amazing things. All Rhodes Lead Here is a newer release and it’s 550 pages. I’d say that will be an interesting start to this author’s books.
Lies My Memory Told Me – Sacha Wunsch
I’m really into thrillers and mysteries at the moment, so when I found out about this one it went right on my wishlist. I can’t imagine sharing memories and the dangers that can create. Lies My Memory Told Me doesn’t release until October, but it’s definitely one I’ll be buying.
The Songbook of Benny Lament – Amy Harmon
Just like with Mariana Zapata I hear nothing but amazing things about Amy Harmon. An author I love recommends her books and this is one that really interests me. I actually just ordered The Songbook of Benny Lament and will be reading it soon!
The Girls I’ve Been – Tess Sharpe
Another YA thriller that I really want to read and just bought. This is a genre I’m really loving lately. Being the daughter of a con artist doesn’t work well for this main character. I’ve heard amazing things about The Girls I’ve Been.
You Can Go Your Own Way – Eric Smith
After reading Don’t Read the Comments I knew I wanted to read more by this author. You Can Go Your Own Way has an amazing cover!! I need it on my shelf. Our two main characters get stuck in an arcade during a snowstorm. I have a feeling this will be interesting.
The Taking of Jake Livingston – Ryan Douglass
Just like with thrillers I’ve been wanting to read more horror. The Taking of Jake Livingston caught my attention when I saw this cover and didn’t know anything about the story. The main character can see the dead and I have a feeling this is going to be a bad thing during this story.
