TTT #183| My Ten Most Recent Reads

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is my ten most recent reads. It doesn’t happen often that this is so easy, haha. I won’t have to think long about this one. Let’s take a look at my ten most recent reads.

Opposition – Jennifer L. Armentrout

For me this was a reread and I’m so glad I decided to read them again. This series is filled with sarcasm, romance, adventure, twists and aliens. Definitely worth the read.

When You Were Everything – Ashley Woodfolk

When You Were Everything was such a hard hitting read, but so good. Friendships don’t always last forever and it definitely takes time to heal. I loved how this book went between past and present.

The Sky Blues – Robbie Couch

I loved the audiobook of The Sky Blues. Our main character’s proposal goes horribly wrong. The characters were really amazing and I liked the “found family” aspect of this story.

Angelfall – Susan Ee

If you’re looking for a Ya with angels that isn’t light and fluffy I can recommend this one. Even though it ended up being a lot darker than I expected I really loved the story. The sarcasm is amazing.

Covet – Tracy Wolff

If you told me that I would end up being so invested in this story I would’ve said you were nuts. I am so ready for the fourth book. I need to know what happens to all the characters I’ve come to love, haha.

With You All the Way – Cynthia Hand

Cyntha Hand writes amazing contemporary books and this is another one I enjoyed. It also talks about sex in a positive way and the consequences of deciding to take that next step or not. Family was another big theme in this story. With You All the Way has also really made me want to visit Hawaii.

The Princess Saves Herself in This One – Amanda Lovelace

I’m not much of a poetry reader, but this one has changed that. The Princess Saves Herself in This One is filled with really raw and emotional poems. I read it in one sitting and will be reading more by this author.

This is Not the Jess Show – Anna Carey

If you’re looking for a book filled with 90’s pop culture I can definitely recommend this one. It was like walking down memory lane. This Is Not the Jess Show took a turn I wasn’t expecting,  UT still an interesting book.

You’ve Reached Sam – Dustin Thao

Okay, You’ve Reached Sam doesn’t release until November, but it was one I was so looking forward to it I couldn’t resist. It would be really special to be able to call a loved one no longer with us and have them pick up.

The Mary Shelley Club – Goldy Moldavsky

I’ve been wanting to read more thrillers and The Mary Shelley Club sounded like one I needed to read. I did enjoy this book, but the ending felt just a bit too rushed and just easy.
