Looking Back at Our Bookhauls| April 2020

A few days ago we talked about the books we added to our collection in April 2021. Now it’s time for us to do a looking back at our bookhaul. What did we add to our shelves in April 2020? Have we actually read any of these books? Keep on reading to find out!

Last year I added a total of 11 books to my shelves. That’s actually not that bad. I’ve had worse months, haha. And after a fast glimpse at this list I have read more than I thought. Let’s take a look.

Wicked Saints & Ruthless Gods – Emily A. Duncan
Read/Currently Reading

When I bought Wicked Saints I had already read an ARC and really enjoyed it. Ruthless Gods is a book I started last month. As usual I got distracted, haha.

Lifel1k3 & Dev1at3 – Jay Kristoff
Read

I enjoyed both of these books a lot! I need to get the third one and I’m actually shocked I haven’t. It just proves how bad I am at finishing series, haha. The world and characters are really interesting.

The Shadows Between Us – Tricia Levenseller
Read

I have to say that I would’ve liked to have seen some things more explained, but still really enjoyed reading this one. Tricia Levenseller is definitely an author to keep an eye on.

Loveboat, Taipei – Abigail Hing Wen
Read

I read Loveboat, Taipei in just about one sitting. It was so fun exploring a country I didn’t know with this main character. Some romance aspects weren’t my favorite, but it was a fun read.

What I Like About You – Marisa Kanter
Unread

I’ve put this book on my TBR so many times the past few months. Other books have been distracting me too much, because I really want to read this one. I will make sure it happens soon.

From Blood and Ash – Jennifer L. Armentrout
Read

Okay, this was definitely a surprise. I didn’t know how this story would play out, but it definitely surprised me. This author definitely proved why she’s one of my favorites once again. Since this book we’ve gotten two more! I can’t wait to read the newest one this month.

The Princess and the Fangirl – Ashley Poston
Unread

I started the audiobook, but it wasn’t working for me at the moment. I was enjoying it, but they tend to be hit or miss for me. Since this book I’ve also bought the third book in this trilogy. I plan on reading them this summer.

The Honey Don’t List – Christina Lauren
Unread

For some reason this seems like a summer read to me. A fast and easy read when it’s too warm to concentrate on heavy fantasy books! I will read this one this year.

Aru Shah and the Song of Death – Roshani Chokshi
Read

Aru Shah is such a fun middle grade series. So much mythology and I’ve honestly learned a lot while reading these books. My favorite thing is the humor mixed in. If you’re a fan of middle grade definitely check these out. I’m currently reading the fourth book and it’s once again really good.

Results:
TBR: 7/11 – 63.6%
Read: 4/11 – 36.4%

So this was a very easy post for me to write! And a bit boring for you haha. Turns out I didn’t buy any books in April 2020, the pandemic was in full force and I decided I wanted to read my unread books first… We all know how that turned out but I was proud at myself for not getting any books at least that one month haha.

So that’s another month at looking back at our bookhauls. Have you read any of these books? Let us know what we need to read first if we haven’t read them yet. We’d love to hear what you think.
