5 On My TBR| Love Triangles

We already try keeping track of our TBR in different ways, but it’s also fun to look at them in themes. That’s one of the reasons why the bookish meme 5 On My TBR is so much fun. This bookish meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. This week’s prompt is Dual Timelines, but I’ve decided to do last week’s prompt: Love Triangles. That’s not a trope I’m normally a fan of, but I’m sure I have a few on my shelf. Let’s take a look!

Love in English – Maria E. Andreu

I can’t imagine moving to a country and not really knowing the language. It helps that the synopsis mentions the characters watch 80s teen movies. That makes it sound even more like my book. Hopefully the love triangle doesn’t take over too much of the book.

Felix Ever After – Kacen Callender

Felix Ever After is a book I hear a lot of people talk about and it’s all positive! Look at this cover as well. I see the synopsis mentions a catfish scenario, so this could turn interesting! Hopefully I can read it this summer.

The Beautiful – Renee Ahdieh

The Beautiful is a book I’ve been wanting to read and actually even read over 20% of. I’m an easily distracted reader, so it’s been on my pile to continue. Quite a few friends of mine have enjoyed this one. I believe the third one releases later this year, so I need to get going with this one!

Unearthly – Cynthia Hand

Out of the five books on this list Unearthly has been on my shelf the longest. I put this on my Christmas wishlist in 2016, so I’d think it’s safe to say I need to get going. I’ve read a few of Cynthia Hand’s newer releases, so it’s time to get to her backlist as well.

The Summer I Turned Pretty – Jenny Han

Ever since reading To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before I’ve been wanting to read The Summer I Turned Pretty. I didn’t realize it was a love triangle even though the cover kind of gives that away, haha.

Even though love triangles are my least favorite trope all of these books sound like something I’ll enjoy. What do you think about love triangles? If you have any favorites, let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
