Royal Update #65

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Unfortunately, I went back to work this week, haha. It’s nice to be back to my normal routine, but I loved having tons of reading time. We’re going to start getting some holidays here and there, so I will have a few extra days off.

Other than working I really haven’t done that much besides reading and cuddling with the kitties. On Saturday I played D&D with friends online and it was nice having fun with everyone again. And the fun thing about D&D is that I also do some blogging while waiting for my turn, haha.

And once again, I haven’t gone two weeks without adding any ARCs to my Netgalley, haha. I’ve received five since last time, but I’m excited about all of them!

Since my last Royal Update I’ve read: Bright Burning Stars, Opal, Sweet & Bitter Magic, Magic Mutant Nightmare Girl, The Iron Flower, My Last Summer with Cass, Crave and Eliza and Her Monsters.

I’m currently reading Nightbooks, The Last Spell Breather, Angel of Greenwood, Crush and Origin.

Upcoming week I want to read What Beauty There Is, From Blood and Ash and I’m hoping to finally finish Serpent & Dove.

I actually have some bookish news and a few cover reveals for you this week!

Once again I’ve been really good. I haven’t bought anything new. I’m sure this will eventually change when we’re allowed to do more again.

Like I said two weeks ago, the boyfriend and I recently started watching Scrubs again. We’ve been really enjoying it and it’s a nice show to just watch when you’re tired. I’ve seen a lot of the episodes, but it’s clear I haven’t seen a lot of them.

I recently realized it’s been a year ago since I went and saw Home Free. So I’m on a kick with their music now. I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of these songs.

So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Read any good books lately? I’d love to hear from you. Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’ve recently discovered Jennifer Armenteout’s books so From Blood and Ash is on my list as well. It’s nice to hear that things are slowly starting to get back to a semblance of normal. Hope they continue that way!
