Charmed is a show that I watched a really long time ago and enjoyed. A TV channel here in The Netherlands started showing the show all over again and I couldn’t resist watching. That made me wonder if there was a book tag and there was, so today it’s time for the Charmed Book Tag. This tag was created by Just Me & My Books. Let’s take a look!
In this night and in this hour, I call upon the ancient powers. Bring your power to we sisters three. We want the power. Give us the power.
A book or series that started your magical reading journey
I’ve always loved to read, but have had periods of times that I read more or less. Twilight was a series that got me interested again, but it wasn’t until I read The Infernal Devices that I got hooked again. From that moment books became a huge part of my life again and hasn’t stopped since.
Halliwell Manor
a house/place/world you’d want to live in
There are so many fictional places and houses I’d love to live in! One place I’d love to live would be Velaris. Especially how it was described around the holidays in A Court of Frost and Starlight. I love everything Christmas and this sounded stunning.
Prue Halliwell
a kickass female lead
I recently read A Rogue of One’s Own and loved Lucie. For her time she’s way ahead of everything and does what she wants. She fights for what she believes in and even makes sure women can get away that need to. I would want her on my side during a fight!
Piper Halliwell
your bookish mum
I have to say I wouldn’t mind Cassidy’s mom. We don’t learn a lot about her parents, but the family seems close! And how cool is it that your parents make a ghost hunting show and search through haunted places and cities.
Phoebe Halliwell
a character you can’t wait to see the future of
I loved The Black Witch and I recently finished The Iron Flower and now I’m hooked on this world again!! These stories hurt, but the author makes you care so much about all of these characters. Also, so much happens!! I can’t wait to see how Elloren’s future continues in The Shadow Wand. I’m hoping to make time for it soon.
Paige Matthews
a series you were late to the party with
Crave is the first book of a series I’ve seen all over the place since it released last April. Part of me was worried to read it, because it seems you either love or hate this book. I just recently decided to finally give it a go by buddyreading with a friend. This book is way over the top and basically a train wreck, but an amusing one. I’ll be reading the sequel soon. Also, my review for Crave will be online Saturday!
Leo Wyatt
a book or series that you turn to for a pick me up
I think for me Red, White & Royal Blue is going to be a book I now turn to for a pick me up. I’ve read it twice now and I love the warm and cozy feeling it leaves me with. Pick me up books are always the lighter and fluffy books that have a happily ever after.
Demons
a book or series that has a big following, but you didn’t really like
Gideon the Ninth has a really big following and I wanted to like it, but I just didn’t Most of the book had me confused and when I started understanding a bit of it and wanted to continue it was basically the end of the book. The sequel is now out and I haven’t read it. I don’t plan on continuing with this series.
Forever Charmed
a book or series with the perfect ending
Endings are hard. Especially if a series has had so many books, but today I’m choosing a book with a perfect ending. I loved how The House in the Cerulean Sea ended. Everything wrapped up in a way that left a huge smile on my face. I’m hoping Klune’s next book Under the Whispering Door gives me the same warm feelings.
So that was a lot of fun! I’ll definitely enjoy watching everything again. I’m only on season 2, so I have quite some episodes to go. If you’re a fan of Charmed I tag you to do this! What book or series started your reading journey? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
