TTT #176 | Books On My Spring 2021 TBR

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books On My Spring 2021 TBR. I don’t really make TBR’s for myself as I’m very much a mood reader. However, I do have a couple of books I would like to read soon. So I guess we could call those books my spring tbr ;). Let’s take a look!

1.SpyXFamily 1 – Tatsuya Endo

This is one of my newest books and I’m very excited about it. It’s a manga so you know I will read it quite fast. It’s always a good feeling to finish a couple of books, it motivates me to read more. And I think this will be one of the first books I’ll finish.

2. The Apothecary Diaries 1 – Natsu Hyuuga

This next one is a manga as well, and a very recent addition to my collection. I think this will be a great read and I can’t wait to dive it. As I said above, it’s nice to finish some books. I might get more volumes if I end up liking these two.

3. The Merciful Crow – Margaret Owen

I have been planning on reading this one for quite a while now. A year probably haha. Candyce and I made this our most recent buddy read so I’m assuming I will be reading this very soon. I’ve heard amazing things and I hope the books lives up to that ;).

4. House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J. Maas

I’m about halfway in but I really need to kick myself and just finish it. The book is amazing and I can’t wait to read what happens next, even though my heart was destroyed very early on.

5. This Is How You Lose the Time War – Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone

I already started this and I loved what I read so far. The book is less than 200 pages so I should finish this quite fast as well. I have very high hopes!

6. One To Watch – Kate Stayman-London

I’ve read around 35% already and it is wonderful. The format is great as is the writing style. I love that the main character is a plus size fashion blogger and some of the love interests are to die for.

7. Five Dark Fates – Kendare Blake

How have I still not finished this? I love this series with all my heart and I just want them all to be happy at the end of this book. Is that too much to ask? Probably….

8. Pet – Akwaeke Emezi

Another pretty short book! I can’t wait to read this, I haven’t read that much about it yet as I would like to be surprised. Especially with smaller books, I think that’s the way to go!

9. Raybearer – Jordan Ifueko

I actually own another edition of this one and it is gorgeous! Please let the story be as good as the cover. I’ve heard great things and I think this will be a book I’ll enjoy so much.

10. Hollowpox – Jessica Townsend

This is another one I should’ve read by now. I adore this series a lot and I’m sure I will love this third book as much as I loved the first two. There is a change I might save this for May (Middle Grade May, woohoo), but I do want to read it then at the latest.

  1. I haven’t read any if them yet but I do wanna get started with Sarah J mass’s books. And I love your blog btw! I’m glad you are into manga as well. I haven’t read a lot of them but I am definitely beginning to!☺️💖

    1. Aaah thank you so much! I really like to read a broad range of things and I love reading manga. Hope you find some amazing manga <3. And I highly recommend Sarah’s books. Her Throne of Glass series is one of my all time favourites (despite some of its faults).

  2. I loved Pet, it’s kinda different, like a fable, but it was great. I’ll probably read House of Earth and Blood at some point, since I’m doing a year-long challenge with a prompt to read the longest book on my TBR, and I’ve already removed a bunch of longer ones to get to one I’m interested in!

    1. Happy to hear you loved Pet! It really does sound like something different, can’t wait to discover it. And yes House of Earth and Blood will definitely work for that prompt. It’s like reading two ‘normal’ sized books haha.

    1. Happy to hear you loved Time War that much! And I hope we both end up loving Raybearer <3

    1. I’m about 60% in now and really enjoying it! Can’t wait to finish it <3

    1. Thank you, I already finished the first one so I have pretty good hopes for this TBR. And yes, it really killed me! I’m still in denial. But then again, I’m still in denial over Sam as well ;).

    1. Nevermoor is so good! I really loved the second book as well, hope you do too. And I hope we will both end up enjoying Pet <3

    1. Aaaah, me too! I’m sure I will want the sequel right after finally finishing House of Earth and Blood.

  3. the merciful crow was a very enjoyable read and the good news is that the sequel is already out! the lightbearer uk cover is truly majestic and the book is pretty good too!! enjoy❤️

    1. Happy to hear you enjoyed the merciful crow. I’ve heard great things. And it’s so nice when you can immediately read the sequel when you enjoy a book. Raybearer has really good covers! I hope they do a matching cover for the sequel. <3
