We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I’m pretty sure my last update was before my birthday! So that happened haha. I had a surprisingly fun day and got some great gifts. A couple of them will be in our bookhaul ;). But I also got a new notebook, a trip to the hairdresser and beautysalon, and a game. I’m very happy with everything and I can’t wait to use that notebook.

 

My birthday was on a Friday and that Sunday a friend and I did something fun for my birthday. We went to Rotterdam and did a city tour but to all kinds of restaurants and bars. Everyone had a good deal for a take away meal or snack or drink and it was really fun! I would definitely do it again in another city.  My leg wasn’t too happy with me but I thought it was worth it!

I only got one new eARC on Netgalley; The Ones Were Meant to Find. Pretty proud I only downloaded one haha. And this one sounds really good! Can’t wait to read it.

Since my last Royal Update I haven’t been reading as much books as I hoped I would. I did finish The Project, Kill Joy and the first 4 Harry Potter books. After falling down the HP TikTok hole I have been completely immersed again. And especially down the Marauders hole. They were always favorites and now I’ve started reading fanfic and I’m a goner haha.

I found a couple of exciting pieces of bookish news! Especially the first one is VERY exciting in my opinion ;).

Because it was my birthday, I decided to get myself a present; another Harry Potter Lego. I can’t wait to saved up enough for the whole castle and Diagon Alley. But for now I’m very happy with my newest piece!

I bingewatched Ginny & Georgia, continued my watching of the Chicago Franchise (currently watching Med up until that crossover) and I started to slowly catch up on the DC Superhero shows. It’s been years since I watched those shows so it will take me a while before I’m caught up haha. I just watched the crossover Crisis on Earth X and I was bawling.  That plus Grey’s most recent episode and I’m done with tv shows for now ;). Stop making us hurt please!

I have been reading a lot of fan fiction and one really popular one came with it’s own playlist on Spotify. Ofcourse I have been listening non-stop! The fanfic is called All The Young Dudes and it’s about the Marauders Era. It’s amazing <3.

That was my Royal Update for this week! Have you ever read fan fiction? I hadn’t before but I can understand the appeal now!! Although I hope I will also read some of my other books as well soon haha.
