I found this book tag inspired by Taylor Swift’s album Evermore! How exciting?! I love Taylor Swifts music and her last two albums are amazing. So of course I wanted to do this Evermore book tag. This tag was created by Ahaana from Windows to Worlds. She also created gorgeous graphics for this tag and I just couldn’t not use them <3. Let’s jump in!
One of the characters that comes to mind right away is Peter K. from the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series. As soon as I read that first book I was a goner haha. And I love the Netflix adaptation of the books. I definitely need to reread all the books and watch all three movies in a big binge.
Illuminae starts off with a broken relationship. I think the break up is even in the first ‘chapter’! This book did such a great job of making me care for these characters in such an unique way. Thinking about this makes me want to reread these books as well haha.
There are so many!! I want to pick one I would use for the other prompts. Okay, I ended up picking a favorite I hardly ever talk about and one that I never hear anyone talk about. And that’s Keturah and Lord Death. This is such a beautiful little book and more people need to read it!
Yesterday I talked about Ashley Elston upcoming release and her previous book fit this prompt really well actually. Sophie was always close to her family but she lost that very close relationship with her cousins after she moved. And this Christmas season is the perfect time to change that. 10 Blind Dates is definitely about more than just family but it was what I loved most about the book.
Relationships aren’t really my favorite part of books so suffering ones are just super annoying. I guess I was never a big fan of any of the main relationships in the Shadowhunter books. The side characters were so much more interesting haha!
This is probably my favorite song on this album! And of course I have to use my current favorite murder mystery series; A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. I recently read the prequel novella and it was so good. The third book releases this year and I just can’t wait!
I’m happy to say I don’t have this problem. My old favorites are all still favorites, or they bring me back to those memories and those feelings. I can still relate to the way I felt back then!
Now those are the kind of relationships I’m looking for! Give me all the friendships. It’s the reason I love Truthwitch so much. And I can’t believe I still haven’t read the last book. I can’t wait for the next one and I will have caught up by then ;).
A book that had me sobbing and nowhere near enough people talk about is Code Name Verity. That book truly destroyed me and all I could say was no no no no no no no no as I couldn’t believe what I was reading. I love that book so much but I never read the companion novel because I didn’t think I could handle that heartbreak again.
When I picked up Slay this summer I never expected to love it this much. But it was just so good. The writing was very addictive and I couldn’t put the book down. I also love the storylines and think Brittney did an amazing job. Her next book is going to be spectacular as well, I just know it.
Six of Crows!! My favorite thieves <3. I literally can’t wait for the Netflix show to release. Will the first season won’t give us Six of Crows exactly we will get content surrounding the Dregs and I am so so so excited for it.
I can’t pick anything else than Harry Potter. Those books were and will always be my favorite. No matter how hard Jo tries to ruin it, the fandom takes care of us and makes sure the wizarding world stays an accepting and loving place.
Every book in the Wayward Children series has at least one moving message. It’s what I love about these book! There are amazing messages in these small books. They are very well written and I would highly recommend them to everyone.
A Deadly Education! That ending!!!!! I did not see that coming and I need to sequel right now. Honestly, I wish I read the first book a bit later haha. Or that I would get an eARC soon haha.
Kingdom of Ash was a perfect conclusion for me! I bawled my eyes out and I would love more content, but I do think it wrapped up the series very well. The war had actual consequences and not everyone survives. Sure there were a couple of convenient things but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
This was a fun tag! I really enjoyed the questions, even though it was pretty long haha. If you want to do this tag as well, please do so! I can’t wait to see your answers.
I really enjoyed reading your answers. I need to get to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, and Slay sounds really cool as well.
Thank you! Both Slay and AGGGTM were on the top of my favorites list, highly recommend them!! <3
