We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
My life update is going to be very boring this week, haha. I had last week week off of work and upcoming week as well. I thought it was a good time to take some vacation. And this week was so relaxing. It was amazing to sleep in a bit, take some walks and just read a lot. I’m hoping to continue this the next week. The weather seems to be pretty rainy and gray, so a good reading week. Also, I hope to get some blogging done. I need to get ahead again.
It was my birthday last Saturday, but with everything going on I didn’t really do anything special. I just relaxed and spent time with my mother and boyfriend. Hopefully I can do something fun next year.
Once again I’ve gotten quite a few ARCs since my last post. Oops! Most of them are for book tours, so at least I know I’ll read them!
Since my last Royal Update I’ve read: Bad Habits, Maybe This Time, One to Watch, Onyx, I Think I Love You, Kill Joy, Ghosted in LA Vol. 1, Scars & Silver Linings and A Rogue of One’s Own.
At the moment I’m reading way too many books at once, haha. I’m reading Nightbooks, The Last Spell Breather, Ruthless Gods, Crave, Opal and Bright Burning Stars.
This week I’ll be reading A Song of Wraiths and Ruin, Magic Mutant Nightmare Girl, Sweet & Bitter Magic and The Iron Flower.
There really wasn’t any bookish news this week that caught my eye. Only a few cover reveals, but nothing that has me really excited.
Once again, I’ve been a good girl and haven’t bought anything new to share in the shop log, haha.
I watched the final of WandaVision Friday and I’m so sad it’s over. It took a few episodes to understand what was going on, but it got really interesting. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on Disney+ for the next Marvel show airing in the next few weeks.
Also, since we now have Star, the boyfriend and I started watching Scrubs. I really enjoyed that show and don’t think I’ve seen all of the episodes. It’s not a long show and definitely a light show to watch in the evening.
Like I’ve already said I had the past week off of work and I listened to the radio a few times while reading in the living room. We have digital radio on our TV and I was listening and heard a song by The Veronicas. That’s a name I haven’t heard in years, so I’ve been listening to this album.
