TTT #173| Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is book that made me laugh out loud. I love when books can make me laugh out loud. It means that the books really hit me the right way. Sometimes these are just the kind of books I need. Let’s see what books have made me laugh! Believe me, there are way more than just these ten.

The Bromance Book Club – Lyssa Kay Adams

I remember I couldn’t put this one down. The author talks a lot about romance books and so much sounds familiar. Not only that, but the characters were amazing and the story was so much fun.

Overachiever – S.M. Shade

This one was hilarious, but also definitely more steamy than the other books on this list. Overachiever is definitely a comedy through and through. One scene was so funny that it had me laughing out loud on the train. Let’s just say I got some weird looks, haha.

The Unhoneymooners – Christina Lauren

The Unhoneymooners starts in a disaster when just about all the people at a wedding get sick from seafood. This is very unpleasant, but these authors know how to still make you laugh. If you’re looking for a feelgood book definitely pick this one up!

The Brightest Night – Jennifer L. Armentrout

Jennifer L. Armentrout makes me laugh with almost every book she writes. The characters she creates can be arrogant, but they’re also so much fun. You just can’t help but laugh. I’m doing a re-read of the LUX series now and it’s already made me laugh out loud multiple times.

Hot British Boyfriend – Kristy Boyce

You know the feeling when a character goes through something that you know would embarrass you? Well, that happens a lot in this story! There are some awkward moments, but also some really relatable ones that make you laugh.

Bringing Down the Duke – Evie Dunmore

Bringing Down the Duke takes place in the time when women still didn’t have many rights. This book also definitely had moments or remarks about that  and it did make me laugh out loud. I really flew through this book and can’t wait to read the sequel.

Spoiler Alert – Olivia Dade

Spoiler Alert was one of my most anticipated releases last year and it did not disappoint at all! This book was also filled with fan fiction and TV scripts and a lot of these were so ridiculous, but also just so much fun!

Fix Her Up – Tessa Bailey

This is a book I kept on seeing everywhere, but just took awhile to get around to reading. I’m glad I finally picked it up. The characters are a lot of fun and I had quite a few laugh out loud moments. I have to say Fix Her Up is a lot steamier than I was expecting.

A Girl Called Shameless – Laura Steven

A Girl Called Shameless deals with a lot of serious subjects and the consequences of these events. The main character uses humor as a way of coping and she definitely had me laughing. The Exact Opposite of Okay and A Girl Called Shameless definitely belong on the list of my favorite books.

My Lady Jane – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

When I heard about My Lady Jane I was definitely curious, but having not read much historical fiction I was a bit hesitant at first. I was definitely wrong about not loving it. These authors take history for a ride and give it their own twist. They also talk to the readers and take you on a wild ride!

  1. I loved The Unhoneymooners, I can’t believe I forgot that one for my list but I agree so much! And I hope to read Hot British Boyfriend really soon, I’m glad to hear its a fun one!

  2. Yes Laura Steven’s books are so funny! I didn’t find A Girl Called Shameless quite as funny as The Exact Opposite of Okay but it was still enjoyable.
