It’s almost been a year since I did this tag and I figured it was about time to get back in! So I’m back with the End of the Year Book Tag. This tag is perfect to transition into the last couple of months of the year and take a look at what you still want to read. Let’s jump in!
Are there any books you started this year, you need to finish?
There are so many books I started this year haha. I would say the biggest is House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. It’s pretty unbelievable I still haven’t finished that one, even though I absolutely loved it. What’s even worse… I looked at my answers from last year and I still haven’t finished those book either haha.
Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?
I think Escaping From Houdini or Bloodwitch might be the books I want to transition to the end of the year with. They both have autumnal vibes, either through the mystery element or the fantasy element. With EFH I would also get closer to finishing a series at that would be great to do for the end of the year haha.
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
I’ll admit, I’m not as up-to-date with upcoming releases as I usually am. However, there is one release I’m very excited for! Spell on Wheels is getting a second volume and I can’t wait to read it. The first volume was great but I really wanted a bit more of it, and I hope this second volume will provide just that.
What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
There are so many books I want to read before the end of the year! I absolutely want to read Hollowpox: The Hunt For Morrigan Crow. It would also be great if I could read Lair of Dreams (and the rest of the series). I loved the first book and I hope I’ll love the rest of the series equally. And lastly I would also love to read Library of the Unwritten. I’m so happy I finally have this book and I can’t wait to read it.
Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your favorite?
Of course! Every year I read a book in December that I really love. I have a couple books I plan on reading but I wouldn’t be shocked if they are favorites. To be honest, I would actually be shocked if Escaping From Houdini will turn out to be a favorite haha.
Have you already made reading plans for 2021?
Not yet! Candyce and I will of course post our 2021 reading goals closer to the end of the year. I’m not sure about them yet. As always I will set a Goodreads goal, but I might lower it a bit. I’m so busy with school that I just don’t have to time I want. What do you think I should set my goal as?
How is your end of the year reading going? What book do you want to pick up? And which release are you still looking forward to? Tell me about it in the comments!
Great post Isabelle! Those look like some really great books, I hope you get to read them and love them!
Thank you! I hope I get to read at least a couple of them haha. Will keep you all updated of course <3
This year was one of those “reading years”. Thanks to all the lockdowns.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to read as much as I was expecting! But the year isn’t over haha 😉
The Library of the Unwritten is on my TBR, it sounds fantastic! Good luck with your end of the year TBR! https://readwithstefani.com/the-end-of-the-year-book-tag/
