It’s been almost a year to the day that I shared my favorite true crime podcasts with you all! And since then I’ve been listening to some more podcasts. Crime Junkie is still my number one podcast but since I’ve caught up I only have one episode a week. At some point I might support them on patreon and get the extra episodes but for now I want to share the fun podcasts I’ve also been enjoying. Let’s jump in!
I’m almost caught up with this Harry Potter podcast! There are 150 episodes that last about an hour each. I’m at episode 118 so, yes I did listen to this for hours and hours and hours haha. Mike started reading the Harry Potter books for the first time when he was an adult and it has been so much fun following his journey. He also watched the movie and went to the Cursed Child play. After that he covered A Very Potter Musical and Quidditch Through the Ages. I’m super excited to find out what he’ll cover next. Mike has one of two wonderful guests every episode and I’m just enjoying every minute of it!
Very Presidential with Ashely Flowers
I’m not American but I do follow the presidential race. And I really enjoy history. So when Ashley Flowers (from Crime Junkie) announced she was doing a series about different presidents I was immediately interested. She tells us about a different president every week in about 30-35 minutes. There are 11 episodes out and tell continue throughout the 2020 election. I love Ashley’s voice and I’m really enjoying these stories. There is so much drama and intrigue and I just can’t believe some of these stories haha.
Anatomy of Murder
This is the newest podcast I started listening to. There are only two episodes at the moment, and I listened to both of them right away, they’re both about 35 minutes. I really enjoyed them and I can’t wait for the new episode next week! Anna-Sigga and Scott give us an insider perspective to all the layers of a murder. They add audio from family members or detectives that were on the case. I really like the way they approach these murders and I especially like that these are solved haha.
This is an eleven part show and it covers murders that took place somewhere in nature parks. Delia has a wonderful voice and she is great to listen to. Most episodes are about 40 minutes with a couple being shorter. These were all stories I’ve never heard off but they were so interesting! I hope we get a second season but until then we can enjoy Delia in Counterclock season 1 and 2.
These are some of my favorite podcasts at the moment! Have you listened to any of them? And do you have any recommendations for me? I’m always on the look out for more!
