Next to our Bookhauls, this is one of the scariest post every month! We love buying books maybe even more than we love reading them haha. So while it’s good to be reminded of the books we bought it’s also a reminder of all the books we STILL need to read haha. Let’s see which books we read and which are still on our TBR from our September 2019 bookhaul!
Like we already said, these posts are always scary, haha. In September 2019 I added a total of five books to my collection. And I actually did better than expected. Let’s take a look!
Like I said in our book haul last year, these were group reads in the TBR & Beyond group. That being said, I was one of the hosts during that read, so I have read both of them now. Horror isn’t normally my thing and these were a lot darker than my normal books, but definitely interesting. The third book (that’s a prequel) released last month and I hope to read it soon!
Buying this during the Fall season was the perfect time. I didn’t wait long to pick it up and Pumpkinheads was such a cute graphic novel! I may just need to do a reread this month.
Five Dark Fates – Kendare Blake
I’m actually shocked that I haven’t read Five Dark Fates. This is the last book in the Three Dark Crowns series. It’s been awhile since I read the previous book, so now will be the debate if I do a complete reread or just read the final book.
Darkdawn – Jay Kristoff
Darkdawn is still an unread book on my shelf. I bought the Illumicrate box for this one and was really impressed with everything in it. I started reading Godsgrave way too long ago (oops…) and need to finish. What I’ve read so far is really good, so I hope to get to Dardawn in the near future!
Read: 3/5 – 60%
Unread: 2/5 – 40%
At first I was pretty happy when I looked back at the September 2019 bookhaul, I only bought 2 books that month. Quite good right? Two gorgeous hardbacks from series I really enjoy. Now the big question, did I actually read them? Let’s take a look.
Capturing the Devil – Kerri Maniscalco
I liked the first two books in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series and I love the title of this fourth one. Somehow I still haven’t read the third and fourth book in the series, but I might just pick them up this October!
Darkdawn – Jay Kristoff
Nevernight was one of my favorite books I read last year and I’m flabbergasted I still haven’t read Godsgrave and Darkdawn. I am reading Godsgrave at the moment and I will definitely continue on with Darkdawn as soon as I finished Godsgrave. This series is amazing and I can’t wait to read more Jay Kristoff novels.
Read: 0/2 – 0%
Unread: 2/2 – 100%
So this is our looking back at our bookhaul for this month. If you’ve read any of the books we still need to read, we’d love to hear what you thought! Let us know in the comments.
