Giveaway| 3 Years Of Blogging

If you’ve been reading our posts this week, you’ll see that we’ve been mentioning our third blog birthday. Today is the day that we hit publish on our first post and we wanted to celebrate 3 years of blogging with a giveaway! Keep on reading if you want to find out more!

We’re so happy that we’ve been blogging for three years, that we wanted to celebrate with the people who have followed us on this bookish journey! We decided to do this with a small giveaway. One person will receive a book of choice up to $20 (if Book Depository ships to your country). If you want a chance to win, answer the following question:

What book has left the biggest impression on you after reading it this year that you think we need to read as well?

Let us know in the comments what book that is and why! We can’t wait to read your answers. If you want a few extra entries follow us on WordPress, Instagram and Twitter. Make sure to let us know what your usernames are, so we can add your extra entries. We know we’ve had commenting issues (which we hope are solved with the new theme). If you still can’t comment, feel free to send a DM on Instagram/Twitter or send an email to thebookdutchesses@gmail.com

The giveaway will be open until October 1st and we’ll choose a winner on October 2nd. Once the winner is announced, they’ll have a week to send us an email or we’ll choose a new winner. We can’t wait to read what amazing books you’ve read this year.

And last, but not least, we want to thank everybody that’s taken time to read what we post on our tiny corner in the bookish world. We appreciate all of you and the friendships we’ve made along the way! Hopefully we’ll be celebrating many more years!

  1. Congratulations on three years! For me, the most influential book (or series in this case) is THE RAMPART TRILOGY. Only books 1 and 2 are out so far (THE BOOK OF KOLI and THE FALL OF KOLI). The themes really resonate with a lot of things we are going through as a society right now: power, disease, technology, connection. It is really relevant.

  2. Happy three years! Thanks for all you do! I’ve read a lot of good books this year, but Nevernight has really stuck with me. At the first of the year, I tried to read it and didn’t love it. Then I picked it back up this month and fell in love. It’s been so long since I’ve read a book that engulfed me the way it did. It felt like coming home, if my home was an assassin school that is cloaked in perpetual darkness. 😂

  3. First of all congrats on three years of blogging guys!! The book that has made the biggest impressions on me this year is either The Book Thief or The Switch, both made me weep and I will never stop recommending them to other people.

Also, I follow you everything (its shelvesofstarl1 on twitter and shelvesofstarlight everywhere else)

    💛💛

  4. Congrats you guys!! Mine is either The Book Thief or The Switch this year, let me tell you that they made me weep.

I follow you everywhere (I’m Shelvesofstarlight or shelvesofstarl1)

    💛

  5. Congratulations on 3 years of blogging! I think you should definitely read The Quickening by Rhiannon Ward. A fabulous, gothic, spooky tale that would be perfect for Halloween 🎃

  6. Awh! Congratulations to your guys for blogging for 3 years and doing it so happily and successfully! I can’t believe that you’ve blogging for 3 years to be honest! Time flies so quickly :)! One book that has left a huge impression on me is Divergent by Veronica Roth. Although the book is sci-fi and fantasy, there are really important messages on bravery, selflessness, honesty, and so much more intertwined throughout the book. The book and the entire series attest and show the meaning of bravery and that bravery is an ordinary act of kindness that cause one person to stand up for another! If you haven’t read the series, I fully suggest that you read it! And again CONGRATS!

  7. Also, I’m following your Instagram and twitter through @dearbookwhisperers and @BlogXploreMag, respectively! 🙂

  8. Ooo the book that has left the biggest impact for me has to be The Education of Ivy Edwards. That book was equally funny as it was sad and I read it in 4 hours which is unlike me to read a book so fast. I think I raved about it in our group chat too

  9. Congrats! I recently read “When No One is Watching” by Alyssa Cole and it was a great and was very impactful at showing me how African Americans think about the current state of affairs and how it impacts their lives.

  10. I also follow in Instagram and Twitter @jedithebookpup and WordPress as The Amateur book reviewer

    1. Congratulations on 3 years of blogging! I love reading your blog ✨
A book that has left an amazing impact on me is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. I just finished reading this one actually. It left such a mark on me because Matt Haig is so good at talking about mental health and the ups and downs of life. The book really touched me to the core.

(I follow you on Instagram (@ohsrslybooks) and on wordpress (ohsrslybooks.wordpress.com)

  11. Congrats on 3 years! I don’t think I’ve read anything new this year, I’ve been on a huge reading slump (well, an overall slump that bled into my reading habits as well) and I’ve only been doing rereads, because that I can do, it’s comforting.
Anyway, I gotta say Night and Silence, by Seanan McGuire, because the October Daye series keeps getting better and better: the meticulous plotting, the interesting and complicated characters, the romance, the humor, the fascinating mythology… it has it all! and you keep finding new things when you reread, which is always a plus.
