Fall shows are about to start and I haven’t shared a single one of them yet. I did do a post about Netflix shows I’m looking forward to but luckily there’s more than just Netflix haha. While I don’t have as an extensive list as I usually do, there are a couple of shows I’m pretty excited for. So let’s take a look at them!
The Sounds
Maggie and Tom Cabbott move to the town of Pelorus to escape the oppressive influence of Tom’s family. But when he disappears, unsettling facts about Tom soon come to light and the search brings long-buried wounds to the surface.
I really like Rachelle Lafevre and I’ll admit that’s partly why I want to watch this. The setting also sounds interesting, I love learning about places I’ve never been to. And the trailer looks intriguing!
Filthy Rich
The heirs of a wealthy Southern businessman hatch a plan to get a piece of his fortune.
This trailer looks hilarious and amazing. I think this might be right up my alley! This is my type of guilty pleasure and I can’t wait to watch the first episode.
Gangs of London
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CJ5p4XisHs
Tells the story of London being torn apart by the turbulent power struggles of its international gangs and the sudden power vacuum that’s created when the head of London’s most powerful crime family is assassinated.
Talking about my kind of show! I love these kinds of shows and those accents are a big bonus. Hopefully the characters are well developed, in that case I will love this one.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond
The series will focus on the first generation to grow up during the zombie apocalypse.
As soon as I saw Nico Tortorella and Annet Mahendru were in this I knew I wanted to watch it. I paused watching both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead but I do want to continue with both. Hopefully this new series will give me the boost to get back to the other ones haha.
The Good Lord Bird
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-Tm63y-S4s
Ethan Hawke stars as abolitionist John Brown in this limited series based on the novel. “Onion” is a fictional enslaved boy who becomes a member of Brown’s family of abolitionist soldiers and finds himself in the 1859 raid at Harpers Ferry.
This trailer looked crazy at first, but I love the music and as soon as I saw it has Daveed Diggs in it I just knew I had to try this. So I might not watch the whole series but I will give it an episode or 2 to convince me I will enjoy it. At least I get to watch Daveed ;).
neXt
A former tech CEO joins a Homeland Cybersecurity Agent to stop the emergence of a rogue Artificial Intelligence.
I like these cybersecurity type of shows. It’s always interesting to see how much tech we have in our lives and I’ll admit I’m a bit scared of things like this happening. So I’m excited to see where this show will take us.
These are the shows I’m most looking forward to this fall season. Do you have any shows you’re excited for? Any shows I’ve missed? Please let me know in the comments, I’m always in the market for more shows haha.
