We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Unfortunately this is still a bit of a boring update. My internship started back up and I’m really enjoying it. I’m also working 4 days a week and have school 1 day. We had to submit our first assignments a couple of weeks ago and I got my grade last week. I passed! Very happy to have finished the first course. This week I have a exam for our music course and I’m not looking forward to it haha. It’s pretty difficult and I’m not good at it at all. But, I will try my best!

Yesterday I had some friends over for a lunch together. We baked pancakes and some delicious banana bread. Last Thursday I went over to another friend for a little get together in her garden. We drank some great flavored beers, had a poke bowl and played a game. It’s nice that we can hang out in the garden so I still see some of my friends. I can’t wait for things to go back to a bit of normalcy.

I’ve only added one new eARC! This book is translated from Dutch and I actually met the author. He was born in the town I live and he came to our local bookstore to sign his books. So I already own the Dutch version of the book. I figured it would be a good way to get me to pick up the book soon and give the author some exposure. Hopefully I can read the book soon!

I’m still not reading as much as I would like to but I did finish two middle grade books and I finally finished Ruthless Gods! Once I hit a certain point I couldn’t put Ruthless Gods down anymore and I was so happy with that feeling. The MG books I finished are Don’t Tell Him I’m a Mermaid and The Mystery of Black Hollow Lane. At the moment I’m also reading Magic Misfits the second story and Ghost Squad. Other than that I’m not putting any pressure on myself and we’ll see how it all turns out.

I have been watching a bit more Netflix recently! Never Have I Ever released at the end of April and while I wasn’t planning on watching it I ended up bingeing the whole season in 1 day. I also started watching Dead to Me. What an amazing show! After bingeing the first season, I’ve started the second season and will probably finish it this week haha. The Dutch Netflix finally put up the third season of Dynasty so I’m currently watching that as well. And lastly I’ve been catching up on Roswell, New Mexico and I LOVE it!

A friend of mine introduced me to the song Cassy O’ by George Ezra and I have been obsessed ever since!! We saw George Ezra together at Pinkpop last year so his songs bring back great memories. His album Wanted on Voyage has been on repeat for at least 5 days now and I probably won’t be stopping anytime soon haha.
