We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is a genre freebie. Lately I’ve had so many freebie type of topics, it’s kind of been enough for me for now, haha. Last week Isabelle posted her Spring TBR and today I want to tell you about mine. Even though I’ve had a hard time sticking to these, I’m giving it another go.
Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare I’ve been patiently (okay, maybe not patiently…) waiting for this book since I knew it was coming. Especially after reading the last book in The Dark Artifices. The Infernal Devices is my favorite trilogy in this world, so I’m so excited!!
The Merciful Crow – Margaret Owen This book has been on my radar for quite some time now. I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about this book. I needed a book that started with M for the magical readathon. And seeing how the sequel releases in a few months, I’d say this is perfect timing!
Aurora Rising – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff I’m actually shocked to say I haven’t read this one yet, haha. I was so excited when it was released, but it’s just been sitting on my shelf. Once again, the sequel is releasing soon and I’m participating in a group read in April. At least I know this one will be read before the end of Spring!
Skyward – Brandon Sanderson If you follow our blog, you know Isabelle and I are participating in the Cosmerealong. Both of us had just finished The Final Empire when it was announced, so we don’t plan on participating in this part of the readalong. To still stick with Brandon Sanderson’s books, we’re going to buddyread Skyward.
Wildcard – Marie Lu I loved Warcross, but just haven’t gotten around to Wildcard. So when I saw the chance to participate in a group read (yes, another one… I have been using these to get to my TBR), I decided to jump in. Wildcard is on my April TBR! If it’s anything like the first book, I’ll be done in no time.
A Pinch of Magic – Michelle Harrison This middle grade book is one I saw popping up quite a bit right before the sequel released. The cover is gorgeous and the story sounds really amazing. My boyfriend bought me this and the sequel for my birthday, so I want to dive right in.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder – Holly Jackson As I’ve said before, I really want to start reading more thrillers/mysteries. This one sounds like it’s one for me and I like the formatting of the book. The sequel comes out next month, so yet again another book I need to read ASAP!
The Shadows Between Us – Tricia Levenseller A friend of mine had the opportunity to read an ARC of this book and let me read the first chapter. After reading that, I knew this was a book I needed to a read. On top of that, a blogger I recently started talking to in a blogger group on Twitter said she was going to read it as well. Before I knew it, we had a buddyread set up for April. I’m really excited.
The Library of the Unwritten – A.J. Hackwith Every time I hear about a book that involves books, libraries, booklovers or bloggers I need to know more. Apparently the sequel of The Library of the Unwritten releases later this year and this one has been getting more attention. I was a very lucky book worm, because I got a copy from the publisher.
Undercover Bromance – Lyssa Kay Adams One of my favorite books last year became The Bromance Book Club. I couldn’t get enough. Undercover Bromance is the sequel and released this month. I just got my copy, so I need to dive in. The author just announced another three books after the one releasing this Fall and that made me so happy.
So here are ten books I want to read this Spring! At least I know for sure that a few of these will be read before the end of the season. Have you read any of these yet? If you have, I’d love to know what you thought! Also, feel free to leave your link in the comments.
Great list! A Pinch of Magic is one I’d really like to try, too – I hope you enjoy all of these. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
I hope we both enjoy A Pinch of Magic as well.
Great list! I cannot wait to read Chain of Gold either! … But I kinda want to reread The Infernal Devices first tho hmmm so many decisions
Same here! I keep on wondering if I need to do a reread first!
Aurora Rising is on my spring TBR too and I can’t wait to get around to it! I hope you enjoy Wildcard! I think it’s equally as good as Warcross 😀
