Tag | The Disney Book Tag

Last week I went to Disneyland Paris so today seemed like the perfect time to do a Disney Book tag. I love all things Disney so I’m super excited to this tag. This tag was created by Kat from Katytastic and I saw it over at The Bucketlist Bookblog. Enough talk, let’s get into it!

The Little Mermaid – a character who is out of their element (a fish out of water)

Sawyer is trust into the world of debutantes in Little White Lies, a world she definitely wasn’t ready for. Her mom left that world before Sawyer was born but she has to go back and try to fit in. I really enjoyed this duology by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and would love to read more about these wonderful characters.

Cinderella – a character who goes through a major transformation

I just finished The Cruel Prince and I think it’s safe to say Jude goes through quite the transformation. At the start of the books she tries to keep her head down and survive in Faerie. But throughout the story she starts to become someone else and I loved seeing that transformation. A lot of people find everyone in this book insufferable assholes but I loved how complex everyone was and can’t wait to start The Wicked King.

Snow White – a book with an eclectic cast of characters

While a lot of people were disappointed with this book, I really enjoyed the cast of characters in Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsey Cummings. I disliked Dex a lot, but all the other characters were a wonderful cast of misfits. They all came from different backgrounds and different races, something I liked reading about for sure.

Sleeping Beauty – a book that put you to sleep

Wink Poppy Midnight was such a boring read! Nothing happened and I didn’t care about anyone. I kept waiting for a cool plottwist but never got one. The end was suddenly there and I was very disappointed haha.

The Lion King – a character who had something traumatic happen to them in childhood

Basically every YA character ever haha. I’d say Cassidy Blake from City of Ghosts and Tunnel of Bones had something very traumatic happen to her in her childhood. And it definitely made her the person we see in these books. I really like this MG series and I can’t wait for the next installment.

Beauty and the Beast – a beast of a book (a big book) that you were intimidated by, but found the story to be beautiful

The Outlander books are super intimidating! It took me awhile to actually pick one of them up and I’ve only been able to read one per year haha. But I do really enjoy them and while they’re very slow paced I am looking forward to the rest of the series. It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens next!

Aladdin – a character who gets their wish granted, for better or worse

Sophie from The School for Good and Evil has always dreamed of going to the School for Good and Evil. Her whole life she tried to be the perfect good girl so she would be taken to the school. And she does get her wish granted, but it all turns out very differently than she ever imagined it. Another amazing MG series, I should really start reading the second series in this world!

Mulan – a character who pretends to be someone they’re not

Nova from Renegades has to pretend being a superhero while she secretly belongs to the anarchists and it makes for a very intriguing story. The only reason I haven’t continued this series yet is because the matching hardcover is so expensive haha! But with the last book recently released I should make work of it.

Toy Story – a book with characters you wish would come to life

How can I choose? I guess I mostly also want to the world they belong to to be real. Because I still want to go to Hogwarts, even though I might be to old now haha. If only characters can come to life I think I would choose some from a contemporary story because it would to sad if they lost their powers here. Either the characters from Fangirl or from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I can relate to both main characters and would love to be friends with them! Also, I’ve had the biggest crush on Peter K. so I wouldn’t mind meeting him in real life 😉 Sorry Lara Jean!

Disney Descendants – your favorite villain or morally ambiguous character

Wicked Saints has one of my favorite villains at the moment! I have the earc for the sequel, Ruthless Monsters and I should really read it soon. This is one of my favorite books of 2019 and I’m excited to continue the story.

This was the Disney Book Tag and I loved doing it! It’s always fun to talk about anything Disney and I enjoyed these questions. Now I would love to know, which characters would you want to come to life? Tell me in the comments!

  1. Outlander is super long, but its deceptive! The books suck you in and go so fast for how long they are!

    1. Haha, I have to admit they take me a while to get through. But the audiobooks do help me a lot!
