If you’ve been following our blog, you know I’m a big romance fan, so I was excited when I saw this tag. A big thanks to Reading to Escape for tagging me to do the Soul Ripping Romance Tag. The title of the tag sounds really interesting, so let’s see what it’s about!

  • Thank the person who tagged you and create aΒ pingbackΒ to the original author – Nel at Reactionary Tales.
  • Share at least 5 (but more are welcome) romances that tugged your heartstrings. They can be from books, movies, TV shows, manga; anything you can think of! They can be examples of sad tears, angry tears, happy tears or a combination of all three.
  • Nominate 5 (or more) people to share their emotional traumas
  • (Note: Try not to spoil the story for your readers in case they would like to check out these romances on their own)

Out of all the romances I’ve read, a lot have been books that have had me in tears for many different reasons.

Ella & Beckett

Ella & Beckett’s romance was a bumpy one with a lot of emotion. Both of them have had problems and obstacles, but can they let go and give love another shot? This book had me in tears in the first few chapters and hit me in the feels so many times. I know a lot of readers weren’t happy with the ending. It made me cry harder than any book has, but I understand the author.

Alex & Henry

Red, White & Royal Blue is definitely going to be on my list of favorite books in 2019! This is another romance that tugs on your heart strings. Alex & Henry make you laugh and cry and just makes you wish it all ends happily. I definitely had a combination of happy and sad tears reading this one!

Lily & Atlas

It Ends With Us had me crying angry and sad tears. In all honesty, this story isn’t easy to read. Lily goes through a lot. In the end the tears start heading to the happy kind, but I think this is a very important story!

Halley & Preston

Kiss Me Not is a romance that had me crying happy tears and also tears of laughter. I love the emotional and raw stories, but sometimes it’s just nice to have a romance that makes you laugh. A story that isn’t too complicated, but just a lot of fun!

Cosy & Griffin

If you want a couple that makes you laugh out loud and cry tears of laughter, definitely pick up Making Up! Who can say they met their partner at an adult toy store? This was my first book by this author and it definitely makes me want to read more!

Tell me about your favorite soul ripping romance! If it’s happy or sad, I want to hear about it! Let me know in the comments. I’m not good at tagging people, so if you’re a romance lover, feel free to tag yourself!
