Tag| The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tag

I’ve been having a lot of fun doing tags that are related to TV series that I love. Last week I stumbled upon The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tag on Sometimes Leelynn Reads. This book tag was originally created by Bookslaying.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was definitely a favorite show of mine and Angel after that. This tag is definitely making me want to watch this show all over again! Let’s take a look at the prompts for this tag.

A Character Who Lives a Double Life

Evelyn and her siblings traveled to another world when they were younger and spent a few years there. When they return Evelyn’s siblings are ready to get back to their normal lives, but Evelyn just can’t let it go. She does her best to let people think she’s okay and doing fine, but she would give anything to get back to the other world she considers home.

A Badass Witch

Elloren is the granddaughter of the last prophesied black witch. I’ve only read the first book of this series, so she’s not the big powerful witch yet that I expect her to become. Just from reading this first book I can see Elloren becoming a badass witch. She’s eager to learn and figure out the world she knows so little about. I can’t wait to see how she continues to develop.

A Character Who Just Provides Comic Relief

Okay, these characters do more than provide comic relief, but they’re so much fun! Knox and Emery are so much fun together and have so many awkward moments. The Locker Room made me laugh out loud quite a few times. I’m sure I got some strange looks laughing in the train while reading.

Favorite Sibling Relationship

This one is definitely easy! My favorite sibling relationship has to be between Fred & George. All the Weasleys are fun, but those two are my favorite. You just can’t help but smile when reading about them and all the misbehaving they do.

An Extremely Broody Character

Kaz from Six of Crows is definitely a broody character. I don’t think I can blame him either after everything he’s been through. Life hasn’t been easy for him and it doesn’t look like it will be in the near future. An amazing character, but definitely can’t miss him being broody.

A Character Who Undergoes Major Growth

In Rules We’re Meant to Break our main character, Amber, doesn’t have an easy childhood. There is a lot of moving and getting attached to people her mother leaves again. Amber has decided to give herself a set of rules so she doesn’t get hurt or attached when her mother dives in a new relationship.

Amber just wants to protect her heart, but in this book she changes a lot. She starts seeing that things can go differently and sometimes it’s a good thing to feel. I loved how much she grew in this book and how she slowly started breaking down the walls she put up to protect her heart.

A Character With a Redemption Arc

In A Curse So Dark and Lonely, Prince Rhen has a redemption arc. Not only does he need true love to break the curse, a lot more is going on. While Harper is there she starts showing him there’s so much more to be done. I loved how his character developed in this book! A Curse so Dark and Lonely is an amazing retelling of Beauty and the Beast.

A Parental Figure

Kate steps in when Sunny’s mother can’t take care of her. She’s definitely more than a parental figure and is really a mom for Sunny. Sunny undergoes a heart transplant and was really sick before that.Kate was really worried about her and even wanted to help her find a way to have a relationship with her mother. I kind of wish we got more of Kate in this story, but she was definitely one of my favorites in The Mighty Heart of Sunny St. James.

A Character With Questionable Alliances

In Blood Laws, Isaac has me questioning where his alliances are. So much happens in this story that makes me wonder what he’s up to. Does he really love our main character? Will he betray his people or stay true to them? How are these blood laws influencing his decisions? I have the next book and can’t wait to continue this series to find out!

A Book With An LGBTQIA Romance

Him is a M/M romance and combines two of my favorite things: sports romance and an amazing love story. Wes and Jamie have a special place in my heart! I really need to get around to reading the second book, Us.

So that’s the tag for this week and this Buffy the Vampire Slayer tag was a lot of fun! If you’ve watched this show, do you have a favorite character or episode? Let me know in the comments! Also if you love the show and want to do this tag, feel free to tag yourself! Just make sure to let me know when you post your answers!
