We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is inspirational or thought-provoking quotes. I decided to go for my favorite book quotes. There are so many amazing book quotes out in the world so I’m going to have such a hard time narrowing it down haha. Anyways, let’s get in to it!
1.Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Maas
“You could rattle the stars”, she whispered. “You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it too. That’s what scares you the most.”
2. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – J.K. Rowling
It does no do to dwell on dreams and forget to live
3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone – Laini Taylor
Have you ever asked yourself, do monsters make war, or does war make monsters?
4. Neil Gaiman – Coraline
Fairytales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us dragons can be beaten.
5. Ruin and Rising – Leigh Bardugo
Yuyeh sesh. Despise your heart. Ni weh sesh. I have no heart.
6. Warcross – Marie Lu
Every locked door has a key. Every problem has a solution.
7. The Exact Opposite of Okay – Laura Steven
“Oh, right,” I snap. “And because he’s spent enough money and inserted enough friendship tokens, the offer of sex and/or marriage should just fall out anytime now?”
8. This Savage Song – Victoria Schwab
“Plenty of humans are monstrous, and plenty of monsters know how to play at being human.”
9. Fangirl – Rainbow Rowell
“In new situations, all the trickiest rules are the ones nobody bothers to explain to you. (And the ones you can’t Google.)”
10. Code Name Verity – Elizabeth Wein
“It’s like being in love, discovering your best friend.”
These are 10 of my most favorite book quotes ever. I tried to only pick one per book and even per author. Because I could’ve just picked 10 Harry Potter quotes for example. Almost all of these come from books that are absolute favorites of mine. One or two or these I would actually consider of getting as a tattoo! We can talk about these quotes long or short, but in the end I simply love them. They all remind me of a great story and they did something with my heart. So today is a pretty short TTT but I just want the quotes to speak for themselves.
Ah the Warcross made my list too, even though I switched it a little bit!
Haha I love that one so much! If I ever get tattoos, that’s one I’ll get! Candyce got me a gorgeous bookmark with that quote!
So many good quotes from wonderful books: Daughter of Smoke and Bones, Code Name Verity, Harry Potter, and Fangirl. Thanks for sharing. My TTT favorite quotes of the year
Thank you!! I had such a hard time choosing haha
I added one quote by Neil Gaiman on my list as well. Such a great author! Victoria Schwab is awesome too. Loved your list!

Ooh I forgot about that one from Code Name Verity! Yes, love. And I could have done all HP quotes too LOL but I stuck to one! And isn’t the V.E. Schwab quote from Vicious? I feel like I’ve read it, and I haven’t read This Savage Song yet.
