So for today’s Show Sunday I actually want to talk about a movie haha. Last night I was super tired so I was in the mood for some Netflix. And that’s when I remembered the new Noah Centineo movie; The Perfect Date. So I watched this quick, cute movie and want to talk about it with you all today!

To save up for college, Brooks Rattigan creates an app where anyone can pay him to play the perfect stand-in boyfriend for any occasion.

This movie is exactly what it sounds like haha. Brooks (Noah Centineo) gets the idea for an app after being paid to take a girl to her prom. To save more money he rents himself out as a stand-in boyfriend or date for whatever occasion you need (and I think a lot of girls would love for this to be real haha). At the same time he also wants to impress a gorgeous, rich girl.

The Perfect Date is a romcom so after a couple of minutes I could already tell you how it ends. But that isn’t a bad thing at all, if you want to see an unique, surprising movie this isn’t the genre to look at haha. While it’s predictable, it was still fun to watch. I really enjoyed the characters, especially Celia. She wasn’t exactly the typical main girl for this kind of movie in my opinion (or maybe I just haven’t seen enough of these movies haha).

I would’ve liked to see more of the dates Brooks went on. The few scenes we saw of it were super funny and I really enjoyed that part of the story. It would be great if they could do a little spin-off with some of the dates!
