Looking Back At Our Bookhauls | February 2018

We decided to add a monthly post to the blog. As you know, we show you the books we bought or received every month. This got us thinking, how many books have we actually already read from our hauls? So now once a month we will be looking back at our bookhauls from a year ago and tell you what we have read!

If we haven’t read many of them, hopefully this will motivate us a bit more to read more of the books we already own, haha. So this month we will talk about our bookhaul in February 2018.

Candyce

After the past few months of having to say I barely read any of the books from my hauls, I’m afraid to look at this one, haha. It’s give to take a look though! How much did I read from my February haul? Okay, I’m proud to say this month isn’t that bad, haha.

Moonlight Sins – Jennifer L. Armentrout

I read this book last year right before the second book in this trilogy was released. I was sad that it wasn’t my favorite book by this author, but I can say that kept getting better as the books continued. I’ve now read all three in this trilogy!

Heroine Complex – Sarah Kuhn

This one I haven’t read yet, but one I hope to read this summer. I know Isabelle has this book as well, maybe I should see if this can be a buddyread! Those always get me reading books faster than expected.

Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow – Jesica Townsend

Nevermoor is a middlegrade book and one of the first ones in a very long time. This book was compated to Harry Potter in many reviews. I was afraid to read it because of that, but I was pleasantly surprised! The second book is on my sheld to be read soon!

Goodbye Days – Jeff Zentner

I have heard amazing things about Jeff Zentner, but I haven’t readd this one yet. A friend told me there is some reference to The Serpent King, so I need to read that one first. I got that one in January, so hopefully I can add it to my TBR soon.

The Cruel Prince – Holly Black

A friend has an extra copy of this one, so I got it from her. I haven’t read it yet though, haha. I think this hasn’t happened yet, because there is a lot of hype around this book. There have been a lot of positive reviews, but also some mixed ones!

End Result:
Read: 2/5 – 40%
TBR: 3/5 – 60%

Isabelle

Like Candyce, I was a little bit scared to look up my 2018 February bookhaul. And I know next month will be even worse haha. Anyway, I didn’t do too well this time either. I did just read one of these books this month so it isn’t a complete failure haha. Let’s get into it!

Spider Gwen vol. 0: Most Wanted? – Jason Latour

I did read this almost immediately after buying it I believe! Unfortunately I didn’t like it as much as I was hoping I would. I don’t think I’ll continue this series anytime soon.

Elantris – Brandon Sanderson

I have quite the collection of unread Brandon Sanderson books! This one will have to wait a while because I’m planning on reading Warbreaker and the Mistborn trilogy first.

The Way of Kings (Part one) – Brandon Sanderson

And obviously the same goes for this one! I think this is the second series set in the Mistborn world? So after finishing that series I can continue with this one right away. But for now I don’t want to look at it to closely because I don’t want any spoilers haha.

Lost Boy – Christina Henry

I own a couple of other Christina Henry books and I’m so ashamed I still haven’t read any of them. These books sound so cool and I’m pretty sure I will enjoy them a lot. But I do have to pick them up at some point so I can see if this author is for me before buying more of her books haha.

Paradise Kiss vol. 1 – Ai Yazawa

I read this one last month! So happy I finally made my way through it even though I was pretty disappointed. I definitely won’t be continuing this series but I’m glad I did finish the book. It was a bit of a struggle for me though.

The Hazelwood – Melissa Albert

I’m not sure if I’ll actually read this book to be honest. There have been a lot of mixed reviews and from what I gathered I don’t think I will like this book that much. So it seems like a good idea to unhaul it. Although I haven’t actually done that yet haha.

End Result:
Read: 2/6 – 33%
TBR: 5/6 – 67%

So that’s it for this month! Have you read any of these books? Are there any we haven’t read that you think we need to pick up immediately? Let us know in the comments!
