Tag| The New Princess Disney Book Tag

I am a big fan of Disney, so when Mireille from TBR & Beyond tagged me for this I knew I had to give it a shot. The New Princess Disney Book Tag. Let’s take a look!

THE RULES

  • Mention where you saw the tag/thank whoever tagged you because that’s
    always good fun
  • Tag Mandy @ Book Princess Reviews and Zuky @ BookBum so they can check out the wonderful Princess fun throughout the blog world
  • Play a game of tag at the end! Please feel free to tag yourself, but if you do, let me know! I love to read other people’s answers!!

SNOW WHITE – this book (like the movie) started it all
Favourite debut book from an author

I am really going to sound like a broken record with this one, but The Exact Opposite of Okay just really stood out to me this year!! When people ask for recommendations it’s also always one that is on my list, haha.

CINDERELLA – a diamond in the rough
Just like Cinderella, you didn’t expect much out of this character in the
beginning, but they turned out to be a total gem

Hatti in A Touch of Gold really kind of annoyed me in the beginning. She was always used to having everything brought to her whenever she wanted. During this story she really becomes a character who fights for what she believes in and family. I really hope we see more of her in the second book.

AURORA – sleeping beauty
A book that makes you sleepy or could not hold your attention

Carols and Chaos was an interesting story, but some of the story dragged on for me. There wasn’t a lot of action and when it got a bit exciting it was solved all really quickly. I noticed around halfway that I had to read pages a couple of times before the details stuck.

ARIEL – under the sea
A book with a water/ocean setting

The Wicked Deep isn’t set underwater, but the ocean does play a big part in this story. I loved the creepy vibes of this book. This is a book I finished in around on sitting! And the cover is beautiful!

BELLE – beauty and the books
Name a book with the best bookworm/book lover

I have to choose the same answer as Mireille. There are a lot of characters who love books, but Cath from Fangirl is my absolute favorite. I also can’t wait to read Wayward Son next year!!!

JASMINE – the thief and the princess
Name a book with an unlikely love story (either in terms of romance or a book
you didn’t expect to love so much)

Star-Crossed has an unlikely love story. At least it is kind of weird. The main character Skye, ends up falling for the detective she meets after seeing a vision of his sister dying. I have to say it works in this story though. I can’t wait for the next book!!

POCAHONTAS – the real life princess
Name a book that is based on a real life person you want to read/have read

I really haven’t read many books about real life people. I would love to read Talking as Fast as I can. Lauren Graham is an actress that I love. Not only in Gilmore Girls, but also in Parenthood. Just typing this makes me want to watch Girlmore Girls all over again!

MULAN – the princess that saved her country
Name the fiercest heroine you know

Okay, even though I’m still busy working on Kingdom of Ash, Aelin is the fiercest heroine on my list! After everything she’s went to, it’s a miracle she can still even fight! This will always be one of my favorite worlds to read about. I’m going to be sad when I’m done with this last book.

TIANA – the princess with the coolest and most diverse crew
Name a diverse book, whether it is a diverse set of characters or just diverse in general

The Brightsiders definitely has a diverse crew! On top of that it’s an amazing story. I loved this book and how everything played out. The cover says a lot about this book as well and it has all of my favorite covers!

RAPUNZEL – let your long hair down
Name the longest book you’ve ever read

I have read a lot of long books, but Lord of Chaos is the longest one I’ve read. It’s the sixth book in the Wheel of Time series and has 1,011 pages. All of them are pretty long though! I would very much recommend this series though!

MERIDA – I determine my own fate
A book where there is no love story/interest

Once again, just like Mireille, This Savage Song is the first book that comes to mind. It was refreshing to read a YA book with no romance. The friendship between August and Kate isn’t one you would expect, but it definitely works. This duology was a pleasant surprise!

ANNA & ELSA – frozen hearts
A book in a winter/cold setting

My New Crush Gave to Me was one of my favorite holiday reads last year. It’s such a sweet contemporary and even though I knew we would have a happily ever after, it didn’t go completely as I thought. I love books that give me a warm and fuzzy feeling around the holidays!

MOANA – how far »I’ll go
A character that goes on a journey

Audrey Rose goes on an adventure to Romania in Hunting Prince Dracula. She doesn’t expect her journey to be so exciting though. A lot of weird things start happening and people end up dying. Is Dracula behind all of these murders?

This was a really fun tag! Seeing how I haven’t read a lot of YA books with no romance, do you have any other suggestions for me? This Savage Song definitely made me curious!

  1. I love how you picked The Wicked Deep for Ariel. I certainly didn’t think about it as that, but the water played such a huge part that it was perfect! And oh gosh, 1011 pages is quite the huge book! D: I admire the dedication. And I’m certainly excited to see My New Crush to Me was a favorite holiday read. I’m planning on doing it this season. Thank so much for doing the tag, and I really enjoyed reading your answers! 🙂

    1. Thanks for doing this tag! I had a lot of fun. Yeah, water played a bigger role than you really realize. Loved it. I hope you enjoy My New Crush Gave to Me.
