I saw a really fun book tag/challenge over at BooksandLala last week and thought it would be fun to do here as well. The Do I Have That Book Challenge was originally created by Keeping Tabs on Booktube but I think it also works as a written tag. The challenges are pretty difficult but I really liked doing it! Let’s look at what books I have on my shelf 😉
1. Do you have a book with deckled edges?
My Three Dark Crowns books all have deckled edges! I absolutely love the look of it, and think it fits so well with these books. When actually reading the books, it can be a bit annoying haha.
2. Do you have a book with 3 or more people on the cover?
My copy of Fangirl has 4 people on it! We can see Cath and Levi, and on the computer screen we also see Simon and Baz. Sidenote, I’m so excited about Wayward Son! Can’t wait for more Simon and Baz.
3. Do you have a book based on another fictional story?
So many! Hunted by Megan Spooner is a Beauty and the Beast retelling I still need to read. The cover is gorgeous and I have high hopes for the story.
4. Do you have a book with a title 10 letters long?
Otherbound by Corinne Duyvis is a title that is exactly 10 letters long. I haven’t read this one yet but really want to. Corinne is a Dutch writer who is published in English, I had the chance to meet her about two years ago and she was so nice!
5. Do you have a book with a title that starts and ends with the same letter?
S.T.A.G.S. by M.E. Bennett has been staring at my all October. I had really planned on reading it this fall season but I guess it will have to wait until next year.
6. Do you have a Mass Market Paperback book?
I actually have a couple. Some really big books are easier to read as mass market paperbacks. When I got The Name of the Wind I decided to grab the mass market version. I also own the sequel in this edition.
7. Do you have a book written by an author using a pen name?
Yes! I have some Robert Galbraith books, a.k.a. J.K. Rowling books. Career of Evil is next on my tbr for that series, I really enjoyed the first two books.
8. Do you have a book with a character’s name in the title?
Yes I do! Eliza and her Monsters, one of my favorite contemporary reads ever. I have the Owlcrate edition and really like that cover.
9. Do you have a book with 2 maps in it?
Crooked Kingdom <3 I love this duology so so much and the fact that Crooked Kingdom has two maps in it only makes it better.
10. Do you have a book that was turned into a TV show?
I own the first Game of Thrones book, and we all know that was turned into an amazing tv show! It was recently announced that the last season will be airing April 2019 and I for one cannot wait until we can watch those last episodes.
11. Do you have a book written by someone who is originally famous for something else? (celebrity/athlete/politician/tv personality…)
I had to think about this for quite a while, but finally remembered Otherworld. This one is written by Kristen Miller and Jason Segel. And Jason Segel is actually an actor, he played Marshall in How I Met Your Mother for example.
12. Do you have a book with a clock on the cover?
My gorgeous copy of Caraval has a clock on it. There were multiple editions available and that one I got was the clock on.
13. Do you have a poetry book?
I didn’t think I had a poetry book but while typing this (after taking all my pictures) I realized I do have one. The Princess Saves Herself in this One by Amanda Lovelace is the first poetry book I ever bought and read. Since then I have read 2 more.
14. Do you have a book with an award stamp on it?
I couldn’t find any on my shelves, but I might own one haha.
15. Do you have a book written by an author with the same initials as you?
Unfortunately I do not. I looked at all my books but hardly any have an I as a first initial.
16. Do you have a book of short stories?
I have multiple short story books, for example Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo. These short stories are all Grisha fairytales and I really need to pick it back up!
17. Do you have a book that is between 500-510 pages long?
I have a couple. One of those is All Of These Beautiful Strangers, a gorgeous copy with those amazing edges.
18. Do you have a book that was turned into a movie?
For this one I chose my copy of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. The movie was released on Netflix this summer and I LOVELOVELOVE it! This is my number one contemporary series and the movie is perfect. Can’t wait for the second movie.
19. Do you have a graphic novel?
I started reading graphic novels about 2 years ago and have a small collection. One of them is Deadly Class, a graphic novel that will be a tv show soon. And it will feature Lana Condor, who played Lara Jean in TATBILB 😉
20. Do you have a book written by 2 or more authors?
This year I finally read My Lady Jane, a book written by 3 authors. I loved this one a lot!! I also read My Plain Jane and am already looking forward to My Calamity Jane.
This was a fun challenge! I really had to take a close look at the books on my shelves and wold recommend you do this one as well if you have a blog or booktube. Do you read mass market paperbacks? Let me know in the comments!
Ohh this is such an amazing tag! Loved seeing your pictures and reading your answers! I’m definitely going to do this one myself as well! Can’t wait to see what I’ll come up with myself.
I came across many books I hadn’t really heard of before but look awesome… And so my tbr continues growing, thank you very much, lol.
Hahaha you’re very welcome 😉
It was really fun to do and a lot harder than I first thought! Hope you have fun with it as well <3
