Wow, how is it already November?!? We keep saying this, but it’s just suprising how fast this year is going. With the beginning of the month now here, we are here to show you our October Bookhaul. What books did we add to our collections?
Candyce
I did really good this month and only bought two books! I am going to try and keep this the same way next month, because Christmas is on its way! Before long I will be getting books under the tree. Which means I need to think of the books I want and make sure not to buy any on my lists!
Kingdom of Ash – Sarah J Maas
This will shock no one, haha! If you follow our blog, wyou know we did a while Throne of Glass week last week! Kingdom of Ash is the finaly book in this series and I’m kind of sad to see it over. And I haven’t even started reading it yet, which is frustrating Isabelle, haha!
The Cheerleaders – Kara Thomas
I actually wasn’t planning on buying this book this month, but I needed a comfort book. When we went to the bookstore in Rotterdam last week to pick up Kingdom of Ash, it wasn’t there yet. We were pretty upset, so decided to look around some more. That’s when I spotted this one. I read Little Monsters by this author last year and loved it, so I’m hoping this one is just as good.
This month I also participated in a book swap and just got to open my package before writing this post. Besides some goodies, I also receive two books! So in the end, I added a total of four books to my collection in October.
Crazy Rich Asians – Kevin Kwan
I have heard a lot about this book and the movie that recently came out. Crazy Rich Asians sounds like a book to just sit back and enjoy. If I like it, I will definitely have to pick up the second and the third book!
All These Beautiful Strangers – Elizabeth Klehfoth
I saw this book a couple of months ago, when I read it was going to be released. All These Beautiful Strangers would’ve been the perfect Halloween read I think, but the winter is dark and cold, so it will work as well! On top of that, this book is beautiful!
Isabelle
Kingdom of Ash – Sarah J. Maas
Obviously I had to get Kingdom of Ash as soon as it released, and I even got two copies! Both the paperback and the hardcover edition, as I do plan on getting both editions for the whole series. Right now I have a weird mismatch collection of the books haha. I love these books so much and I was happy to finally be able to get my hands on the final installment.
The Caged Queen – Kristen Ciccarelli
I really enjoyed The Last Namsara last year and when I saw that the preorder campaign was open internationally I knew I had to pre order The Caged Queen. The cover for this book is once again gorgeous and there was some amazing art that came as part of the pre order campaign. Unfortunately the hardcover for this one is a different height than the hardcover for The Last Namsara. This was the only hardcover I could find so I’m just going to go with it but it is so annoying!
What If It’s Us – Adam Silvera & Becky Albertalli
Like Candyce said, when we went to the bookstore Kingdom of Ash wasn’t delivered yet. So I needed to comfort myself with some other books. What If It’s Us was one of my highest anticipated contemporary releases for this year and I’m happy I got to add it to my collection this month. I love Adam’s books and I love Becky’s books, so lets hope they’re as good when they write together.
All These Beautiful Strangers –Â Elizabeth Klehfoth
And I also got this one to comfort myself! Candyce showed me the books on her Halloween swap wishlist and this was one of them. The edges for this book are so cool and basically what made me buy it haha. I also really liked the synopsis and I couldn’t stop myself. Since I didn’t buy that many books this month, I don’t feel that bad!
What books did you add to your collection in October that we need to know about?
Whoa @Candyce, you only bought 2 books? Talk about self-control haha. You got the most important one though: KoA! Heard great things about Crazy Rich Asians; curious to see what you’ll think of it.
@Isa, you got 2 KoA editions: YASS! I only need to buy the paperback of the Assassin’s Blade and then I’ll have both editions of the entire series – even 3rd copies of some books, lol. But both UK and US editions are just so so stunning and totally worth buying; BUY.ALL.THE.BOOKS
I still need to buy and read the Last Namsara; the cover of the Caged Queen looks so stunning yet again.
I added 16 physical books to my collection in Ocober and 15 e-books, oops? hahaha
Haha, we were such good girls this month! And hopefully November will be the same, because December will probably be big haul time 😉
