When I was looking for a new book tag to do this week, I stumbled upon the Hocus Pocus Book Tag on Scorpio Book Dreams. Last weekend I finished Hocus Pocus & the All New Sequel, so this tag seemed perfect, so I tagged myself.
The Sanderson Sisters – A Great Trilogy
The Infernal Devices is one of my favorite trilogies. I love Jem, Will and Tessa. I am really excited because next year we get the first book that involves Tessa’s children (I don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t say who the father is). I loved The Mortal Instruments, but this one will always be my favorite.
Winifred Sanderson – A Book With a Truly Evil Female Villain
This is funny, because I just posted a picture about this character on our bookstagram yesterday. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix introduces us to Umbridge. There are a lot of villains that are evil, but she will always be on the top of my list!
Sarah Sanderson – A Book That Uncannily Attracts Children
The Magic Misfits was such a fun read. I really wish that I had this growing up. The second book was just released last month, so I need to get my hands on that! The Magic Misfits is filled with a lot of humor and magic tricks. All the main character wants is a family of his own.
Mary Sanderson – A Book That is Just Plain Silly
I have answered every other prompt in this tag, but I can’t think of a book that’s just plain silly. I guess that’s a good thing?
Max – A Book That is Trying Too Hard to be Cool
I know a lot of people aren’t going to agree with me, but Caraval is this book for me. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy the story, but everyone was so amazed by it and I guess I kind of missed why. Legendary has been said to be even better than Caraval. I definitely plan on giving it a try, but just don’t plan on having high expectations!
Dani – A Book That Isn’t Afraid to Tell it Like it Is
The Exact Opposite of Okay wasn’t afraid to show how society is. There is a double standard when it comes to sexuality. The main characters has pictures spread that she didn’t want anyone else to see. Eveyone’s attention is on her and blame her for doing what she did, while the guy in the situation gets off with no consequences.
Binx – A Book Series That Just Won’t Die
Another one that I really can’t answer. There isn’t a series that I know that comes to mind that just won’t die, haha.
Ice – A Book Character That’s Dumb as a Rock
Crabbe and Goyle are Draco’s sidekicks in Harry Potter, but they’re not the smartest of the bunch. The only thing I loved about these characters were that they created some funny moments. Especially when polyjuice potion gets involved.
The Black Flame Candle – A Book or Series You Wish You Could Ressurect
I know we haven’t gotten there yet, but with the release of Kingdom of Ash releasing next week, I know I’m going to be wishing for more. Part of me is very excited to finally get the conclusion of this story, but I am also very afraid, haha.
Headless Billy Butcherson – A Book That’s Not as Bad as People Make it Out to Be
To be honest, I kind of missed the whole discussion about The Black Witch. I read that there was a blogger who said this book was racist and should be avoided. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Yes, there is some racism in the book, but the main character is learning a lot about the world she was shielded from her whole life. And if you think about it, this is kind of how our world is as well. The author isn’t racist, but showing us how a world can be. This book is so good!
Winifred Sanderson’s Spell Book – A Book With a Mind of its Own
I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to think about a book with a mind of its own. What book pops in your mind when you think of a book with a mind of its own?
Gary Marshall – A Book With a Cameo
I loved the cameo Patrick (Kinney Brothers) makes in Daisies & Devin. He fit in the book perfectly. I really recommend Kelsey Kingsley’s romances. She is such a fun writer and makes you fall in love with her characters.
This one a fun tag to do! I don’t like tagging people, so feel free to tag yourself! If you do, please let me know! I would love to read your answers!
