Since it’s October I figured it was the perfect time to start with all things Halloween, including this book tag! So today I have the Nightmare Before Christmas Book Tag for you all. I saw this tag over at Ali the Hardback Hoarder‘s Booktube channel and thought it would a great tag to do today. Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite holiday movies and I’m so happy someone made this tag. So let’s take a look at those questions!
1. Sally –loves someone a lot and gets them in the end
I actually agree with Ali’s answer and can’t think of a better one. Peeta from the Hunger Games is the perfect example of this. I have always adored Peeta and can’t understand why anyone would be team Gale haha. Peeta has been in love with Katniss since they were little and I think they are perfect for each other. I loved the ending of the trilogy, no matter how sad it was.
2. Jack – a character that longs for more
Lila from the Shades of Magic series comes to mind here. She doesn’t like her current life and she seizes every opportunity for more. I really enjoy her character and I can’t wait for the spin off we’re getting somewhere in the future.
3. Zero – side kick character
Abraxos is my number one side kick character for sure! I absolutely adore this flower sniffing, cute but ferocious wyvern. You all know by now that I love the Throne of Glass series and Manon is an absolute fav of mine. And how can you love Manon without loving Abraxos? I just finished my reread of Empire of Storms and Abraxos was simply amazing, can’t wait to hopefully see more of him in Kingdom of Ash.
4. Oogie boogie – a book with a wicked villain
The original Grisha trilogy has a pretty wicked villain in the Darkling if you asked me. I actually really liked his character, but he was a horrible person! It was so interesting reading about him and getting to know him more and more. He was a great villain in my opinion.
5. Halloween town – a book with a creepy theme
This is the perfect time of year to pick up your creepy books! Candyce and I did a post about our potential TBR for the Spook-a-thon so I have a ton of supposedly creepy books on there. One of the creepiest books I have ever read is 172 Hours on the Moon. If you want a book that will keep you up at night (I needed to start a fluffy contemporary before I could go to sleep) this is the book to pick up.
6. Christmas town – a book that left you feeling warm and fuzzy
We all need books like this every now and then! The last book that made me feel warm and fuzzy might a bit of an odd choice, but hé, they’re my feelings 😉 Murder’s a Witch and Twice the Witch are the first 2 books in the Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery series and they’re paranormal cozy mysteries. I really enjoyed listening to the audiobooks for these and hope to pick up the third one soon.
7. What is this – book that took you by surprise
My liking of Ace of Shades took me by surprise. I listened to the audiobook but didn’t think I would really like it. There had been quite some disappointed reviews and I figured this wouldn’t be the book for me. However, I actually liked it a lot! Sure it had some minor issues but overall the story was very enjoyable and I loved the world Amanda Foody created. Can’t wait for the sequel!
So this was the Nightmare Before Christmas Book Tag, I enjoyed filling it out. Feel free to do this one as well. would love it if you tagged this page in it if you do. And let me know which book took you by surprise in the comments down below!
