It’s been awhile since I did my last unboxing and this will be my last Fairyloot unboxing for the time being. After getting Fairyloot every month for the last year and a half I started to notice that I don’t enjoy it as much any more. The unboxing used to be a real highlight for me but lately I just unbox and forget about it right after. To be honest, I’m not that interested in the books either, a lot of them are still unread on my shelves. So I decided to cancel my subscription and only buy special boxes for books I’m really excited about. Long story short, today I have the unboxing for the September Fairyloot for you all. Let’s take a look!
The theme this month was Starcrossed Swoons and we got some very exciting teasers up front. As always Taratjah designed the theme card and I just love her style.
The first item I found was this matchbox inspired by the Shadowhunters books. It is designed by Fictiontea Designs and while it’s not anything special, I do like it and I’m happy it got included. Matches aren’t something I’ve seen included in a bookbox before and I always appreciate getting new and unique items. The design is quite nice as well.
Another shadowhunters inspired item by Fictiontea Designs and I love it. As you all may know, I absolutely love enamel pins and this one is gorgeous. The picture definitely doesn’t do it justice, sorry for my awful photography skills haha. But yes, love this pin so much, very grateful to add it to my pin collection.
This is such a cool item!! Once again by Fictiontea Designs haha and once again very unique. These are shoelaces and they feature all the courts from Prythian from the A Court Of series. I simply can not wait until I can use these! Seriously, I can’t tell you enough how much I love this item <3
So you all know I’m a big fan of bookish candles but to be honest I don’t like these so much. They’re by Nerd Poured Candles but I thought they were by Fairyloot themselves because they look a bit cheap. After buying so many gorgeous candles and having received nicer candles from them I think this one was a bit of a miss.
Now this item isn’t mentioned on the spoiler card which is kind of weird but I’m very happy with it. It smells sooooo good. I enjoyed the Grisha trilogy but I’m not particularly interested in the Mal and Alina fandom haha. Still, a good item, like I said, it smells amazing and it’s cocoa and shea butter I believe so it’s a useable item.
Look at that gorgeous blank notebook, I love the colors and the quote on it. The quote is from The Star-Touched Queen and I’m actually tempted to pick it up after seeing this and another item in here. Read at Midnight designed this notebook that I will definitely use for something haha.
This is another favorite item of mine! I love these charactercards/fan art things and these are all very pretty. They are designed by Taratjah and like I said, I’m a big fan of her work. We have cards with Amar and Maya (the Star Touched Queen), Julian and Emma (The Dark Artifices), Lazlo and Sarai (Strange the Dreamer), Rhysand and Feyre, and Cassian and Nesta (ACOTAR). So quite some characters from books I haven’t read yet but that are on my TBR.
And the last item before the book! Such a cool and unique item again. We got an apron inspired by Strange The Dreamer, designed by Literary Life Co. I still need to read Strange The Dreamer and I think I need to do that soon haha. This apron is so beautiful and I hope to use it soon.
It was pretty clear we would be getting Mirage by Somaiya Daud and I was looking forward to it so much. This story sounds really cool and I’ve seen some positive early reviews. The edition we got is gorgeous and I love the sprayed edges every month. I’m quite excited to pick this one up and I hope to do so soon!
I was actually quite happy with this month’s Fairyloot. The book is one I really want to read, I love the art work we got, and especially the shoelaces are so fun to get and something I for sure want to use. Did you get this month’s box? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments!
My favorite item is the one you used for your background! I love the quote “Sleep Less Read More” Tho I can’t tell what the item is? And I’m guessing it didn’t come in this box?

It’s a blanket I got in a Dutch sub box a while ago. Isn’t it lovely? I use is a lot as a background for my unboxings but it’s really soft and warm as a blanket as well <3
