Candyce

I was a good girl this month. I added a total of four books to my collection in August. There will probably be a few more in the next couple of months. The last few months of the year are always known for its great releases. There are quite a few anticipated reads I’m looking forward to. But first, let’s take a look at the books I got this month!

Catwoman: Soulstealer – Sarah J Maas

She is one of my favorite authors, so when a book releases by her I it’s a no brainer that it’s added to my collection. In this series I’ve only read Wonder Woman. I really loved that one. Batman is still on my shelf waiting for me, just like this one now. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about this one. I wonder what my opinion will be!

Mara Dyer – Michelle Hodkin

A friend of ours was going to get rid of this trilogy, so I took them off her hands! I read these a few years ago as e-book and loved them! After the first book of the spin-off about Noah came out last year, I’ve been wanting to give these a reread. Now I have the perfect excuse!

Isabelle

I’ve been such a good girl this month! Although I’m currently in London and I didn’t add those books yet… There will be full post about all the goods I got there soon 😉 But let’s take a look at the hand full of books I did get this month

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 8 Vol 1 – Joss Whedon

I recently started watching Buffy as I never watched when I grew up. Buffy is such a classic and I was a bit ashamed to admit it haha. Luckily I get to enjoy it now and I was immediately looking into the graphic novel. Unfortunately they seem pretty hard to get. So when I came across this one in a comic store I just couldn’t pass it up! Even though I have to wait until the end of the series before I can read it, I’m happy I got my hands on one.

Locke & Key Vol 2: Head Games – Joe Hill

These graphic novels are quite expensive so unfortunately I can’t just buy the whole series. If I could, I definitely would. I love the first volume and was happy to get this second one. The rest of the series is super high up my wishlist but I’ve been spendings wayyyy too much money haha. As you might’ve read yesterday, I already read this second volume and once again loved it. Can’t wait to get the next one.

Snotgirl Vol 2: California Screaming – Bryan Lee O’Malley

I loved the first Snotgirl a couple of months ago and the ending made me want to pick up the sequel as soon as it hit shelves. In yesterday’s wrap up I already talked about this one, as I read it almost immediately after I got it. I didn’t love it as much as I hoped but it was definitely enjoyable.

Fables Vol 2: Animal Farm – Bill Willingham

I really enjoyed Fables vol 1 so this one had been on my wishlist ever since. There’s not too much I can say about it just yet haha, except that I’m really glad I could add it to my collection and I plan on reading it soon.

These Rebel Waves – Sara Raasch

This was the Fairyloot book of the month and I’m so happy with it!

As you can see both of us had a pretty quiet month when it comes to adding books to our collections! What did you get this month? What do we need to check out?
