We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since last January Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books You’d Mash Together, so you pick two books you think would make an epic story when combined. Pretty cool idea, but also quite hard haha. Let’s see what I came up with for today’s topic.
1. My Lady Jane X Stalking Jack the Ripper
I absolutely loved My Lady Jane (and highly enjoyed My Plain Jane) and think it would be really fun to see what the Lady Janies would be able to do with Jack the Ripper. Stalking Jack the Ripper had a really interesting premise but I was a bit disappointed with the execution. I would love a little fantastical element, some good plot twists and some humor like in My Lady Jane in Stalking Jack the Ripper.
2. ACOTAR X The Hunger Games
Now this would be interesting! Can you imagine the Hunger Games but with Fae warriors? This would be so amazing, I can just see this as a way King Hybern would prevent an uprising under the Fae. And maybe these Hunger Games have teams so we can keep our Inner Circle together. Obviously we’d also get a big revolution in the end, that might make ACOWAR a better conclusion to the original trilogy π
3. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before X Fangirl
Basically I just want to read about Lara Jean during her university years haha. These are my favorite contemporary trilogy and standalone so mashing these together would be amazing. I think Lara Jean and Cath would possibly be friends if they met, although it will be a challenge to get them to attend something and talk to each other. But if you can make that happen, I think this could be a great series. I would love it so much and throw all my money at it haha.
4. The School for Good & Evil X The Isle of The Lost
I loved the School for Good and Evil but I think it would be really fun to see the descendants from all the epic heroes and villains like in the Isle of the Lost attend to this school. Just seeing them all interact and have them attend classes to get ready for their fairytale sounds like a book I would read for sure! I would hardly need a plot haha, I would just want to read about their days at the school.
5. Six of Crows X Darker Shades of Magic
These are two of my favorite series bΓΊt I do think we can make something epic of this. Can you imagine if Kell was able to transport our favorite heist crew to other worlds? Where they could steal all kinds of cool things. And participate in the tournament from A Gathering of Shadows? And where Kaz could trade stuff on the pirate ship from A Conjuring of Light? I think that would be pretty epic!
This was so hard to do! So I decided to keep it to 5 mash ups, because that’s 10 books so basically a top ten π What do you think of these combinations? And which books would you mash together? Let me know in the comments!
Yes to My Lady Jane and Stalking Jack the Ripper!
I think it would make such an awesome story!
Ooooh, I love the idea of a To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before crossover with Fangirl!
As soon as I finished Always And Forever, Lara Jean I knew I needed Lara Jean: The College Years haha
Such great combos! I so want to read about Lara Jean’s college years too. I wish Jenny Han would actually write this!
Thanks, me too!! I would pay good money for it to happen haha
Six of Crows and A Darker Shade of Magic would be so awesome!
All of a sudden that idea started to live for me and I could just imagine the awesomeness!
I saw ‘Boys’ and “Fangirl” mashed together on someone else’s list. So fun. Also though I’ve not read either one of them, I like the idea of “My Lady Jane,” and ‘Jack the Ripper.’ π

Really, that’s so funny! I highly highly recommend My Lady Jane! And while I was a tad disappointed with Stalking Jack the Ripper most people seem to really love that book.
I absolutely love ACOTAR + Hunger Games and To All The Boys + Fangirl!! All of these choices are great. Great job with the tag π
Thank you! It was pretty hard but a lot of fun to imagine π
I love your combinations, though I still need to read My Lady Jane and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before!
Thank you!! I highly recommend both of those books, two favorites of mine <3
I like the idea of ACOTAR/Hunger Games and Fangirl/All the Boys I’ve loved. I haven’t read all the books on your list (although I have a good idea of what they’re about) but you describe the mashups pretty well.

Thank you! I did my best haha. Now we just need someone to actually write these mash ups!
I super loved The Hunger Games and Fangirl so I’m really excited to read ACOTAR and TATBILB!
Hope you get to read (and love) them soon!
I really like these choices (esp. ACOTARxTHG & TATBILBxFangirl). I would definitely read those hahahah. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I would love to read those as well, kinda sad no one is writing these now haha
These are all amazing picks for this topic. My Lady Jane and Stalking Jack the Ripper would be an amazing combination, even though I haven’t read the latter I’d love seeing what the authors of My Lady Jane could do with that topic. Also both Six of Crows and A Darker Shade of Magic are all-time favourites of mine, I can’t imagine how you could make them more epic than they already are but if those two books were combined it would be a brilliant read. God I almost wish I could read it!
Again great picks, and great post too. π <3
Thank you! Yes at first I was just thinking of books that were disappointing for me because how the hell would you make my favs any better. But all of a sudden that SoC and aDSoM mash up came to mind and I was just picturing this whole story haha. I was basically playing a movie in my mind and oh how I would love it if someone wrote that story!
Ohhh ACOTAR X HG sounds incredibly epic! I haven’t read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before yet (I definitely want to after seeing that lovely trailer!) but that sounds like such fun (and I really liked Fangirl). And I just got My Plain Jane in a book box so it’s awesome to see that you really liked it!
The trailer for TATBILB looks AMAZING! I can not wait for that movie haha. So go go go and read it π I’m pretty proud of that ACOTAR X HG mash up haha. And I hope you will enjoy My Plain Jane as well! Now we just have to survive the agonizing wait for book 3.
I haven’t read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before for years. And its been a while for Rainbow Rowells books for me too. But what I remember makes me think they’ve make a great mash up! Fun list!
Thank you! For me they’re both so relatable and cute and I think it would make such a perfect mix <3
ok ACOTAR and the Hunger Games would be so epic
I know right? I can just picture the epicness!
I can totally see Six of Crows and A Darker Shade of Magic mashing together. Both books have some stellar world building and amazing characters.
I think Lila would fit in quite nicely with the six of crows crew haha.
