Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Current “to-read” shelf: 343 (This is scary, I have 12 books less on this shelf than the last Down the TBR Hole…)
Once again, I notice that this is going to be a bit boring. I have so many books by the same author. I hope soon we find the part of my Goodreads TBR that I didn’t add everything an author wrote when I discovered said author. The only advantage is that my TBR will shrink faster this way!
Instead of going title for title for each book, I will just discuss the author or series. Otherwise I just end up repeating myself! That is no fun for you either!
With Love – Jennifer Blake, Kristin Hannah & Linda Lael Miller
I think this one comes from last time when I added everything by Kristin Hannah. The only sypnosis Goodreads even has is that there are three books in this collection. That makes it very easy! This won’t be staying on my TBR.

The Single Girl’s To-Do List – Lindsey Kelk
I added this author after seeing her “I Heart” series. Even though this book sounds really cute, it doesn’t sound like something I haven’t read. This book came out in 2011, so I don’t think I will pick this up anytime soon!

I Heart series (1-5, 3.5) – Lindsey Kelk
This series is more chicklit than anything and while I enjoy those at times, there are so many of them. I don’t own these books and I don’t think I will be buying them anytime soon. Maybe one day I will read them, but there are so many books waiting to be read by me, haha.

About a Girl – Lindsey Kelk
Wow this author has written a lot of books! This is another series she wrote. Another book that ends with a happily ever after. That isn’t a bad thing at all, but I’m really enjoying the deeper aspects of the romance books I have been reading lately.

From Notting Hill… With Love Actually – Ali McNamara
I might actually have to keep this one. I am a big fan of Love Actually and this sounds really cute. This book released in 2010, so it may be harder to come by. I will keep it on my TBR until I know if I will be able to buy it or not.

Removal Percentage This Week: 90%
Current “Want to Read” Shelf: 334
I did a good job removing books this week, haha. Hopefully my lists will be more interesting soon! Have you read anything by Lindsey Kelk? Should I have kept any of her books?
