Bookish Item| Books to Pack for Vacation

Getting away for a week is always a wonderful thing, but I think most bookworms will recognize my problem. Figuring out what books to pack for vacation. This afternoon I am off to a cottage with my boyfriend for a week. We will be close to a little beach, so what will I be doing while there? Right, reading! Of course I will bring my e-reader, but I love bringing a few physical books as well. After thinking about it for awhile, I have decided to bring these books!

Crown of Midnight – Sarah J. Maas Isabelle and I are continuing with our reread and this one is up next. I loved diving back in the world, so this would be a perfect vacation book! Crown of Midnight isn’t my favorite in the series, but I still loved it. The good thing about this book is that even if I am a bit distracted while outside, I have read this twice, so it won’t be too bad.

Reign of the Fallen – Sarah Glenn MarshTBR & Beyond is doing a groupread of this book at the end of the month and I want to read to participate. Reign of the Fallen has gotten nothing but good reviews from the people I know who have already had a chance to read. I’m normally more aof a fan of fantasy in the Fall and Winter, but I make an exception every once in awhile for a book that sounds amazing.

Leah on the Offbeat – Becky Albertalli This has been on my TBR ever since it came out, haha. Other books keep getting in the way, but I need to change that. Becky Albertalli hasn’t disappointed me yet and I don’t think she will with Leah. Leah on the Offbeat seems like a perfect read for relaxing outside at the cottage. I think it will be a fun and fast read.

Legendary – Stephanie Garber Another group read for TBR & Beyond, so I will be giving it a try. Caraval was a so-so read for me (as I have said before), but I hear Legendary is a lot better. I don’t want to get my hopes up to high, so I’m just going to read and see how it turns out. I loved the idea of the world and events, but Caraval just wasn’t written like I expected.

Tell Me No Lies – A.V. Geiger This is a book I wasn’t expecting until after I came back, but it came early!! Tell Me No Lies is the sequel to Follow Me Back and I have been wanting this since I finished that last year. Follow Me Back may be getting packed as well, because I have the urge to reread things at the moment. I think this is a good way to get back into the story and will get me back in the next part of the story.

I See London, I See France – Sarah Mlynowski After buying this book last year, I decided to save it for this summer. Seeing how the main characters also go on vacation it seems like the perfect fit now. Not to long ago, I saw that someone read it in a few hours. That sounds like a perfect book to take while sitting at the beach.

Even though we are driving to the cottage, I think six books will be plenty. I am taking my e-reader, because I do have some blog tours coming up. What book should I start with that I am bringing with me? What books would you bring with you on vacation?
