When I read the book Cut Short awhile back, Francisca was one of my favorite characters. I really was hoping she would get a book and a happy ending. My wishes came true when Julie Wolf wrote Cut Loose. Did this book do one of my favorite characters justice? Keep reading to see my review and find out!

He was the worst she ever had, so why can’t she get him out of her head?
Francisca Rivera— call her Frannie, please— says what she means and takes what she wants. Six months ago, all it took was one look at James, the gorgeous, bearded man pouring drinks at her favorite bar, and she had to have him in her bed.
To say she had been disappointed would be the biggest understatement in the history of all understatements. James was a no good, very bad lay.
But there is just something about James’ quiet, steady manner and the way he’s always watching her at the bar— like she’s something special— that keeps her wanting.
Frannie is wild and free with an aversion to relationships. James is soft-spoken and shy with a tendency to be reclusive. Can two opposites meet somewhere in the middle and take a second chance at their first time?
Cover Even though I’m still not a fan of people on books, I have to say these two models do look like how I imgined these two characters. That doesn’t happen often.
Plot This book was very touching. It shows us that opposites do attract and people can bring out the best in the other. Frannie was a favorite of mine, so I was happy to get to know her better. She was basically the type to sleep with a guy and move on. relationships weren’t even on her radar. After a not so great night together with James, she still couldn’t get him out of her head. James definitely still had an eye on her. He’s the shy type though. That is what made this book amazing as well. Frannie is this outgoing woman and James is a quite nerdy guy. This book is filled with funny, sweet and sexy moments. I loved how the story slowly built up as the characters develop. We even got to see Rachel and Joe. This author gives me everything I want to see in a romance book. I laughed, was happy and really connected with these characters. I can’t wait to read more about this group of people. Julia Wolf is definitely an author I will be keeping my eye on!
Characters Frannie doesn’t do relationships and she’s pretty sure that is from the experience she had with her parents as a kid. Things start changing for her as she goes. She is a very outgoing person and knows what she wants. Frannie isn’t afraid to tell you what she thinks. Except for when it comes to feelings she isn’t used to feeling. At the beginning of the book it’s clear that Frannie is happy with where her life is at. She has a job she loves and amazing friends. I love how she changes in this book. Frannie starts letting herself enjoy cuddling and holding hands. She learns she can love and deserves to be loved.
James is the more quiet nerdy man in this book. He may be less experienced in ways Frannie isn’t, but it’s clear he is okay with a relationship. Even though he’s still learning how those work. James gets shy easily, but it’s fun watching him get more comfortable in different situations and with himself. He is like a teddybear. You just want to hug him!

“Julia lives in Maryland with her patient husband and three crazy beautiful kids. When she’s not writing, momming, or watching Real Housewives, she’s reading a book. Julia’s a lover of all things romance. From sweet, to funny, to steamy, to so dirty you’ll blushing for days, she reads (and writes!) it all.”

This book was really good! I recommend this series to romance lovers. From what I heard we will be getting another book about Eliza. Have you read a book in this series yet? What did you think?
