Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story, and I found it over at Howling Libraries. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. Last time I did 10 books at a time and I think I will stick to that. Since my last Down the TBR Hole, my TBR on Goodreads has gotten bigger again, haha. Let’s see what books I will keep this week!

It works like this:

• Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
• Order on ascending date added.
• Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
• Read the synopses of the books
• Decide: keep it or should it go?
• Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 332 (it’s one more than when I first started and I removed 5 books, oops?)

Books #11-15

Can You Keep a Secret? – Sophie Kinsella

As you can see if you look at the pictures, we’re off to a pretty boring start again, haha. I used to read a lot of chicklits and when adding these books I was in my time of reading those. To be honest, I don’t read them often anymore, so I don’t think I will keep this one.

Twenties Girls – Sophie Kinsella

Same as Can You Keep a Secret? I love Sophie’s writing style and the books are sweet, but I don’t think I will get to this one, so this one is going as well for now. Who knows, maybe there will be a time I read more of these again.

Shopaholic & Baby – Sophie Kinsella

This one I will keep. I loved the shopaholic series and I can’t wait to read about her adventures when she has a baby, haha. This is probably a book I’d take on vacation with me.

Mini Shopaholic – Sophie Kinsella

Just like the previous book, I think it will be hilarious to see how Becky deals with a daughter who wants everything and won’t take no for an answer. Kind of sounds like her, haha. On top of that she has to deal with financial problems. Can a shopaholic like Becky handle that?

Six Geese A-Laying – Sophie Kinsella

As the previous books, you will notice I was on a Sophie Kinsella kick, haha. Reading the description of this one now, it doesn’t really look good to me. I’m normally a fan of stories near Christmas time, but I don’t think this one is for me.

Wedding Night – Sophie Kinsella

As I said before this is another chicklit, I probably won’t read anytime soon. Even though it’s probably enjoyable, it sounds like something I’ve read many times before.

The Meryl Streep Movie Club – Mia March

Reading what this book is about again, I can definitely understand I chose to put this on my TBR. I don’t think it’s a book for me anymore though. So another one that will be taken off the list.

Blackbringer – Laini Taylor

I added this book to my TBR in April 2013, long before I read the first two books in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy. This author has an amazing way of telling a story, so I definitely want to keep this one. It will be interesting to read more by this author.

The Paladins DuBois – Patricia Donaruma Williford

I don’t remember this book at all. Reading the summary again, I don’t think I will keep it . This book was published in 2012 and only has 25 rating and while I don’t judge books because of that, I don’t think it’s a book for me.

Entwined With You – Sylvia Day

I read the first two books of this series quite awhile ago. It’s my guilty pleasure, just like 50 Shades. I don’t know when and if I will finish this series, but I will keep it around for now.

Once again, it was a pretty boring week when it comes to a variety of authors, haha. It’s easy to tell that in the beginning I would like all the books by an author I was enjoying. I’m sure we’ll eventually get some more variety.
