A friend of ours, Kwante, from Kwante in Wonderland created the Monthly Monday Book Shelfie. Every month there is a new topic. Continue reading to find out what the Monthly Monday Book Shelfie is and what to do if you want to participate!
This month’s theme is Royal Orange! It’s time to show you our prettiest orange book. At the end of this month it’s King’s Day here in The Netherlands, so orange is a color we will be seeing everywhere. After you think of the book you want to use, you do the following:
- You take a book shelfie – the book you chose in front of the other books on your shelf.
After that you answer the following questions:
- Where did you get the book?
- Have you read the book yet?
- What did you think of the book? If you haven’t read the book yet, what do you expect?

The journey of looking for an orange book for my post started off frustrating. I really thought that I had an orange hardcover, but I can’t rememeber what book it was. I looked through my bookshelves, but can’t find one. Maybe I was imagining it, haha.
Where did you get the book? I don’t know to be honest. This is my boyfriend’s copy of Mockingjay, haha. I have all of the e-books.
Have you read the book yet? I have already read this. According to Goodreads it’s been just about four years since I finished this book. I didn’t realize it’s been that long.
What did you think of the book? Mockingjay was an amazing book! I loved it. The whole trilogy was really good. I read these books after all of them were published, so I was able to read all three in a row. This trilogy was also made in to a movie (four movies to be exact) and for a book to movie experience they did a good job.
Orange isn’t a color seen very often with books. Do you have a favorite that is orange?
Omg that’s such an interesting cover haha
