I hope that by now you all know how much we love Harry Potter <3 So when I saw we were tagged by My Magical Book Worlds for this Harry Potter tag I knew I had to do it right away. I’m super excited to do this one! Let’s take a look at those questions.
Flagrate: Writing Charm โ A book in which you found the theme interesting, but youยดd like to rewrite?
I loved the concept of There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins a lot. I was really looking forward to reading it but was quite disappointed with how it turned out. In my opinion it was way to heavy on the romance. There were parts I enjoyed a lot so I think there’s great potential for a YA slasher novel. Hope there will be more like this, but way less heavy on the romance ๐
Alohomora: Unlocking Charm โ The first book in a series that got you hooked?
There are so many books I could mention here right now! It was pretty tough choosing one but I decided to go with Air Awakens by Elise Kova. I really enjoyed the first book and can’t wait to dive back into this world. Still need to buy the second book, but I feel like I need to slow down on buying books for a bit haha.
Accio: Summoning Charm โ A book you wished you could have right now?
There is only one answer here haha; Throne of Glass #7 by Sarah J. Maas. I’m anticipating this book so hard, I would give anything to get my hands on it early haha. I absolutely adore this series and need to know how it all ends. Who lives, who dies?! Who ends up with whom? TELL MEEEEEEE
Avada Kedavra: The deadly Curse โ A killer book? Both senses. Take it as you like.
This one was another were I felt like I could name a ton! I love my fantasies with a high bodycount, oops. I’m going with a recent sci-fi read; Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. Now this is a book with an insane bodycount haha, I flew through this beast of a book and can’t wait to start the second book. And then it’s just a little wait until we get the third and last book. Happy I was late to the party so the wait isn’t too bad.
Confundo: Confusing Charm โ A book you found really confusing?
I couldn’t think of any really confusing books at first but I thought of an answer! I recently read Truthwitch by Susan Dennard, and while I loved it a lot it was also a bit confusing at first. You’re thrown into this fantastical world you don’t know, there are a ton of words you don’t understand. But while reading you gather more and more and as I said, I ended up loving the book. I’m currently reading the sequel, another one that started a bit confusing.
Expecto Patronum: Defensive charm โ Your spirit animal book?
This was quite hard! But I decided to go with one of my favourite books ever, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Cath is so so relatable, I don’t think I ever read about a more relatable character, definitely not before reading Fangirl. I recommend it all the time and think I should reread it soon! I love the bits about Simon Snow as well, I’m a massive Harry Potter fangirl so this makes Cath even more amazing and relatable.
Sectumsempra: Dark Charm โ A Dark Twisted Book?
My favourite kind of books! I went with the anthology Because You Love To Hate Me. This one is all about villains and it doesn’t get more dark and twisted than that right ๐ I really enjoyed the short stories inside this one and this got me more interested in other anthologies as well. I loved reading about villains and their dark and twisted story. I was so great to have them as the main character.
Aparecium: Revealing Charm โ A book that surprised you in a great way, reveals to be more than it is?
I choose The Jewel by Amy Ewing for this one. I wasn’t really planning on reading this book to be honest. But Amy was visiting the Netherlands and my friend Willemijn told me that she really enjoyed The Jewel. I decided to give it a go and ended up really enjoying it. It was definitely so much more than I thought it would be and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
This was a fun tag to do! Feel free to do this one as well, and please tag me so I can read your answers. I love to read tags and get recommendations, especially for some dark and twisted books ๐
Iโve never read Harry Potter so i didnโt get all these references lol
Haha oh no! HP is literally my favourite series EVER! Currently listening to all the audiobooks and thinking of watching the movies again
Great tag. Perfect questions and answers.
