This week we have another Wishlist Wednesday for you guys. Today you get to see a few books that have been on our wishlists for quite some time, but that we still haven’t actually bought. This also fits nicely with the Beat the Backlist Challenge we both are particpating in 😉 Let’s take a look.
Candyce
My wishlist is really long (like I’m sure most booklovers will recognize) and some books seem to stay on there for ages. Not because I don’t want to read them or they don’t sound interesting, but simply because other books are more interesting at that moment, haha. Here are a few that I have had on my wishlist for quite some time.
The Darkest Minds – Alexandra Bracken These have been on my wishlist for quite awhile. I have heard some good things about these and now that there will be a movie, I need to get around to reading it before the movie.
Graceling – Kristin Cashore Yet again another trilogy that sounds amazing, but I haven’t added to my collection yet. And look at this cover, it’s beautiful!!
Hopeless – Colleen Hoover I have loved everything I have read by Colleen Hoover, but I haven’t gotten to these yet. Just like everything else, I have heard amazing things about this book. I’m hoping to read more by Colleen Hoover this year!
Isabelle
Like Candyce I have an insane wishlist and some books just never seem like a priority. When reversing my Goodreads TBR I realized I lost interest in quite a lot of the books on there, or that I don’t even remember them haha. I guess my Goodreads needs some cleaning up… However a couple books are still very much on my wishlist!
His Dark Materials series – Philip Pullman
I’ve always been interested in these books and almost bought them a couple of times haha. I saw this beautiful 20th anniversary edition when I was in London that has been on my wishlist ever since. And two weeks ago I almost bought the whole series in one binding, it looked nice and was pretty cheap but I had to stop myself from buying alll the books (after I just bought a bunch at Book Outlet for their Boxing Day discount…).
The Giver – Lois Lowry
This is almost a classic and I just feel like I need to read this series at some point. I still haven’t seen the movie (there is a movie, right?) as I want to read the books first. I feel like everyone loves this book and I’m interested to see if it’s still good after reading a ton of dystopian books.
Women of the Otherworld – Kelley Armstrong
I loved the tv show Bitten and I’ve been interested in these books ever since I’ve realised the tv show was based on the books. The show was great, and had a lot going on, I can only imagine how good the books must be! Just thinking about it gets me excited again <3
These are a few books that have been on our wishlist for quite awhile. Have you read any of them? Should we bump any of these to the top of our lists? And of course, we would love to know what books are on your wishlist that have been there for ages.
The giver is a very good book
The Giver is my favoirte book of all time.
