Tag| The Joy of Christmas Book Tag

It’s my turn to share a tag with you guys and it took me awhile to figure out which tag I was going to post today. Then I thought I wanted something to do with Christmas, because our house is getting festive, so I want to bring some of that to the blog. I found this tag on my friend’s blog Melissa’s Book World.

1 – Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you anticipating the most?

This one is a hard question! There are a lot of books that I can’t wait to read! At the end of this month we will post our anticipated releases for January, but here are some that I can’t wait to have in my hands.

2 – Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing its praises?

There are so many books and authors that I could write about, haha. I can fangirl about many things. I guess for now I will just have to choose one of the many things I love. For today I’m going to choose The Infernal Guard Trilogy. These books were so good and nothing like I expected, but in a good way. If you want an amazing fantasy series, with unique worldbuilding, characters and a good balance of humor and more serious stuff, you need to read them. And what makes it even better, is that the author is such a sweet person.

3 – Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful worldbuilding?

Normally I choose series that are pretty popular and known for: Harry Potter, Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses. So this time I will choose a series that I really haven’t talked much about on the blog. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I still have to read the last book of the trilogy, but I love the world created. How unique the characters are and how she describes the places they are in. These are books you really need to concentrate on, but they are so worth it.

4 – A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read

I have to be very honest and say that I have never actually read any classics, haha. Maybe some retellings, but never the original. This will change next year. Isabelle and I plan on reading some classics together. Keep an eye out for our challenges and goals for next year sometime this month.

5 – Christmas Sweets: What book would you like to receive for Christmas?

There are quite a few on my Christmas List, but here are a few I would love to find underneath the tree!

8 – Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas?

Christmas is really my favorite time of year. I love the cozy feeling you get, being able to curl up on the couch with a blanket and watch Christmas movies, drinking hot chocolate near the Christmas Tree, decorating the Christmas Tree, haha. And I love Christmas Day spending time with the ones I love. The perfect way to spend the day.
