November Bookhaul

Another month flew by! We only have one month to go this year. It’s now December, so it’s time to see what books we added to our collection in November. Take a look!

This month I added seven new books to my collection! We will take a little closer look to what I got this month. The lighting is terrible at the moment with the days being really dark lately, so the pictures aren’t the best at the moment!

The Becoming of Noah Shaw – Michelle Hodkin

I read Mara Dyer and Noah was a favorite character. When Michelle Hodkin announced this trilogy, she had my attention. I have read mixed reviews, so I am curious to seek hat I think of it. I probably won’t get to it until 2018.

Otherworld – Jason Segel & Kirsten Miller

After reading Warcross, I can’t wait to read this one. Another book with an element of gaming. I have heard a lot of positive things about this one. Isabelle and I plan on reading this in December, so keep an eye out for a review.

My New Crush Gave to Me – Shani Petroff

I LOVE Christmas books, so this was a definite auto buy for me, haha. I plan on doing at least a couple of Christmas reads. I love the cozy feeling these books give me.

Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe – Melissa de la Cruz

Another Christmas read (that I kind of already read earlier this week, haha). So keep an eye out for my review this month.

My kitten Shadow decided she wanted to be included in the pictures, haha. She thinks books are interesting.

Whichwood – Tahereh Mafi

This book was in my Celebrate Books box and I really had no idea that it would be this one. I love the cover and it sounds pretty interesting. Our unboxing will be online soon, so you can see everything we got.

Warcross – Marie Lu

As you read in the wrap up, we were both really enthusiastic about this book. Our review is coming online later today.

The Last Namsara – Kristen Ciccarelli

As you saw last month we had the chance to meet this author, so I definitely needed the book to have it signed. I hope to read it this month.

I was also very lucky to receive some e-books this month to review! I definitely want to thank the authors for that!

Playing the Point – Ashley K. Broome

A fun sports romance. Those always make me happy. Unfortunately a little too much sports, haha. Still a fun book. Review to come soon.

Scarlet Toys – S.M. Shade

After seeing this cover I really wasn’t sure want to think, but this book was so fun. The right amount of romance and humor.

Recklessly Forbidden – Emily Bowie

I reviewed this book and the review came online at the end of November. Another book I would recommend.

Judging Books – Shay Savage

Another book I had the amazing chance to read and review. My review came online Tuesday and I loved it!!

Mother of Shadows – Meg Anne

I am kind of scared of this book, because I know it ends with a cliffhanger and the next book isn’t out yet, but it sounds interesting.

One Night to Fall – Kelsey Kingsley

This book just sounded so good and I love the cover. It comes out in a few days, so it will be reviewed soon.

Home for Christmas – Daphne James Huff, M.F. Lorson & Kayla Tirrell

I loved Kayla Tirrell’s trilogy, so I definitely wanted to read a Christmas story by her and the other authors.

The Secrets Between Us – Jennifer Ann

This book seems pretty interesting. I am enjoying romances lately, so this one was added to the list.

Lessons in Corruption – Giana Darling

I signed up for the chance to read this book and I got it all of a sudden, haha. I didn’t get the confirmation mail, but it appeared on my kindle out. This actually came out yesterday, so will read this as soon as possible, haha.

I also received a few books from Netgalley!

Kids Like Us – Hilary Reyl

We had this one on our anticipated release post, so I had to take the chance to read this.

Inspired – Susan Schaefer Bernardo

This cover is so cute and I like stories with gods and goddesses.

Isabelle

I got a really nice stack of books this month <3 Three of the books were from book boxes, four were bought in Antwerp, and two were bought after the Kristen Ciccarelli event (you can find the article about that event here).

The Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts – Maja Säfström

I got the Dutch version of this cute little book in Antwerp and I loved it so so much. I already talked about it in the wrap up of November we posted yesterday, since I read it almost immediately. This is such a fun book to have laying around, perfect for both kids and adults.

The Little Book of Astrology – Marion Williamson

This is another book I got in Antwerp. I’m very interested in astrology, I enjoy reading horoscopes and stuff like that so it’s pretty exciting to have a book dedicated to all this now. I haven’t read it yet and it will probably be a while before I read the whole thing butit’s nice to have and read bits and pieces every now and then.

The Princess Saves Herself in this One – Amanda Lovelace

This is another one I got in Antwerp, and like I mentioned yesterday I read the whole thing in one sitting (in my hotel room haha). The cover is extremely simple and I actually enjoy it. It gives a pretty good preview of what’s to come inside the novel as you might realise after reading it.

Can You Solve My Problems? – Alex Bellos

This is the last one I got in Antwerp. It’s a book filled with puzzles, problems, riddles, and stuff like that. I love doing puzzles, whether they’re jigsaws or logic puzzles or brainteasers like that. I’m excited to try and solve these 125 brainteasers!

Otherworld – Jason Segel & Kirsten Miller

This is the first book I got at the Kristen Ciccarelli event, Candyce and I both bought it for an upcoming buddyread. I don’t know too much about the book but I’ve read How To Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller and I really enjoyed that one. I’m expecting this one to be a bit of a mix between that book, Ready Player One, and Warcross. Or at least, I’m hoping that it is 😉

Murder on the Orient Express – Agatha Christie

This is the other book I got at the event, it was already featured at yesterdays wrap up. This is such a classic, especially if you love detective novels a must read. And somehow I found one of the most beautiful editions for this book, I just keep staring at it. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see the movie.

Furyborn – Claire Legrand

I got this ARC in this months Fairyloot (watch the unboxing here), and I’m super excited to read this! My friend Melissa, from Melissasbookworld, already read it and told me she loved it so so much. I think it’s pretty cool we got an ARC in our Fairyloot and it’s high up on my TBR.

The Last Namsara – Kristen Ciccarelli

This was the main book in the Fairyloot and it was the one I was expecting it to be haha. I was highly anticipating this book and started reading it already. I love the Fairyloot exclusive cover with all the silver. All the people I’ve talked to that read this book are loving it so much, I don’t think I’ve seen even one negative review so I’m very excited to find out what happens with Asha in htis book.

Whichwood – Tahereh Mafi

Like Candyce said, this one came in my Celebrate Books box of the month. I didn’t expect this one, mostly because it’s a companion novel to Furthermore, even though it was my first guess. I haven’t read Furthermore yet, but really want to do it soon now so I can read this one.

That’s what we added to our collections this month. What books did you receive this month?
