A friend of ours, Kwante, from Kwante in Wonderland created the Monthly Monday Book Shelfie. Every month there is a new topic. Continue reading to find out what the Monthly Monday Book Shelfie is and what to do if you want to participate!
Thanksgiving is celebrated in the States this month, so the theme of this month is book in the Fall colors of Thanksgiving or a book that reminds you of the holidays. After you figure out what book you want to use, you do the following:
- You take a book shelfie – the book you chose in front of the other books on your shelf.
After that you answer the following questions:
- Where did you get the book?
- Have you read the book yet?
- What did you think of the book? If you haven’t read the book yet, what do you expect?
Candyce
I chose a book that reminds me of the holidays.
Where did you get the book?
I ordered the book online last year. I love having a few books that are holiday themed in December.
Have you read the book yet?
I have! I read it in December of last year. I’m always in a Christmas mood, so who knows I may read this again this year.
What did you think of the book?
I really enjoyed it. It is a typical fluffy Christmas read, but I love them. Holiday books are supposed to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and this one did just that! It’s about a girl who’s family owns a Christmas tree lot and they may lose it. Of course she meets a boy this year and we see how that all plays out. Will her family be able to keep the Chritmas tree lot or will it all be over after this year? If you want to know more you will just have to read the book to find out!

I chose a book in the fall colors of Thanksgiving, and with that round bottle it could almost be a pie on that cover as well haha š
Where did you get the book?
I ordered the book online last year, right when it came out. It’s the third book in a series and I really enjoyed the first two books (The Sin Eater’s Daughter and The Sleeping Prince) so I was excited to get the third book.
Have you read the book yet?
I haven’t! I’m actually waiting on Candyce, this was supposed to be a buddy read but I think she still needed to read the second book? I’m honestly not sure about this haha, so we might be waiting on each other! I do hope to read it soon.
What do you expect for the book?
The second book in this series was quite different from the first one and it took me a little while to get into the story so I’m not really sure what to expect. I definitely expect a shocking twist or two (the other books had those for sure!) and some kind of epic battle. It will probably take me a couple of chapters to be engaged in the story again, especially since its been a while since I’ve read the second book. But hopefully I’ll be sucked in to the story after a bit and read an amazing conclusion to this fantasy series.
Do you have any books that remind you of the holidays? We’d love to hear about them!
I want to buy/read What light so much! Added it to my wishlist last year but haven’t gotten around to buy it yet. Maybe this year. It sounds like such a great read for the holidays :D!
It’s definitely a sweet and easy holiday read! I love books like that around Christmas. The warm and fuzzy feeling they give me!
So weird, I didn’t get a notification of your link? @Candyce, nice holiday feels book! You’ll have to pick one out for the december post as well! @Isa, I love the covers of these books, have read the first one! Second one will be translated later this month!
That is weird! I will check that after. Luckily I (Candyce) have more holiday books, haha.
Excited to see what you’ll think of book 2! It’s definitely a bit different from the first one, hope you’ll enjoy it š
Iām really excited for December bc I have some gray holiday book and content pictures for my bookstagram
