Today is Halloween, so we want to show you some of our Halloween favorites! Keep reading to take a look.
TV Shows
It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is considered a movie, but it’s not that long, so I see it more as a TV Show. I have watched this every year since I was little and plan on watching it today as well!
Every year The Simpsons have a Treehouse of Horror and I enjoy these, haha. They are all different and funny. Some are better than others.
I think by now everyone has heard of Stranger Things, the Netflix hitshow. To be honest, I still need to watch this show so calling it a favourite is kinda cheating haha. BUT I do think it works perfectly for Halloween and today is the perfect day to watch it! I’m not even sure what its about but I hear nothing but good.
Movies
Not being a big fan of Horror movies kind of leaves me with the more fun Halloween movies, haha. For me this is a classic and I still enjoy it very much.
The Halloweentown movies are a lot of fun as well! I really want to watch these again soon!
I watched this movie last year for the first time and absolutely loved it! I guess it could also count as a Christmas movie but it works perfectly for Halloween. It is about Halloween town after all ๐ I really like Tim Burtons style and this is a classic Tim Burton one.
Books
One of my first spooky reads was Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake, it’s about a ghost hunter and a ghost (duhhhh) and it’s pretty scary! Definitely a book to read around Halloween. I have the second book just waiting on my shelves until I finally read it.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is another kinda creepy book that is perfect for today! It is actually a trilogy (still need to read book 2&3, even though I’ve owned them for at least a year already) and there are creepy pictures included in the story. Those pictures give an extra dimension to the story which I really enjoyed.
This might be the scariest book I have EVER read! On first glance you might need think this a Halloween read, since its mostly sci-fi but while reading it you’ll get more and more of a Halloween vibe. And once you finish it… You will not be able to fall asleep haha. I needed to start a fluff contemporary after I finished this one to be able to sleep… I have never been this scared by a book and I would definitely recommend it!
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin and The Screaming Staircase (Lockwood &Co #1) by Jonathan Stroud are two book I haven’t read yet BUT do own and are supposedly quite creepy and therefor perfect for Halloween. I’m not sure what these two are about, I know there are ghosts in The Screaming Staircase, but that’s it. However I’ve heard a ton of good things about this two and can’t wait to dive in.
These are some of our Halloween favorites. We would love to hear about yours!
Love Charlie Brown and 100% yes to those movies! Stranger things is one of my FAVS itโs so good and so 80s inspired
I really need to start Stranger Things asap!!
