When this tag comes online we will only have a few days left until Halloween. To go along with this season I wanted something Halloween related. A friend of ours from Kwante in Wonderland posted this Halloween tag last week, so I thought I would tag myself. Continue reading if you want to see what this Halloween tag is about.
Favorite Horror Book?
I honestly don’t ever read Horror. It’s not really my genre. The last book I read with some excitement was There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. This book is labeled as a Young Adult Horror, so it’s an option, haha.
What is the scariest moment you experienced while reading a book?
Not really a moment I experienced while reading, but more a moment after reading a creepy book. I read The Dead House this week and I swear I heard weird noises when I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, haha.
Have you ever dressed up as a book character for Halloween?
No, I have never dressed up as a book character for Halloween. I haven’t celebrated Halloween since moving to The Netherlands. If I were to dress up as a book character I would dress up as Cat from Fangirl, haha. Easy, but fun.
If books were just as cheap as candy, what book would you give kids when they came trick or treating?
I would hand out copies of Harry Potter. That is my favorite go to book around this time of year and I want new generations to enjoy it just as much as I did.
If you could find something bookish in your Trick or Treat stash, what would you hope for?
Hmmm… I would hope for pretty bookmarks or bookish candles. I can never get enough of those!
If you had to choose one author to go Trick or Treating with, who would you choose?
There are a lot of authors I’d like to go Trick or Treating with. At the moment I would choose S.G.D. Singh. I am currently reading the second book in her Infernal Guard trilogy and I am loving it. The world she created is amazing and I would love to talk to her about it.
In what bookish world do you want to go Trick or Treating in?
I would love to go Trick or Treating at Hogwarts. Walking around the grounds with only lights on in the castle. It seems like the perfect way to spend my Halloween.
What bookish villian do you not want to run into in a dark alley on Halloween?
I wouldn’t want to run into the Valg. People who have read the Throne of Glass series now how gross and creepy these creatures are. Definitely not something I want to face in an alley.
Would you rather dress up as a vampire, zombie, werewolf or Shadowhunter?
That is a hard one. All of those creatures seem interesting. I think for now I would have to choose to dress up as a vampire. There are a lot of bookish vampires that could be pretty interesting!
What books are on your Halloween TBR?
My Halloween TBR isn’t that long, but I was able to read a couple and am hoping to finish one more before this month is over. As I already mentioned I read There’s Someone Inside Your House. I was also able to finish The Dead House and I am currently reading One of Us is Lying.
That were the questions I had to answer for this Halloween tag! I’m not sure who to tag, so I am tagging anybody who wants to fill it in! Do you guys have any Halloween plans this year? What are you going to dress up as?
