We are new to this whole blogging thing and we thought that a getting to know us tag would help our readers get to know who we are. It’s a list of questions Isabelle used on her Dutch blog in the beginning and we thought it would work for this now.

What did you think of when you woke up this morning?

Candyce: The first thing I thought of this morning was that I didn’t want to get out of bed, haha. Then I thought of all the reading, blogging and working on the bulletjournal I wanted to do. The only bad thing about wanting to do so much at once is that I didn’t know where to start.

Isabelle: I woke up to my alarm clock, so the first thing I thought was, noooooo not yet! I was at a hotel to speak at a conference so I got a bit nervous. But first I went to the pool, so that’s what I was mostly thinking about.

What was your favorite subject in highschool?

Candyce: I think my favorite subjects were the languages and mostly when I got to read books I actually enjoyed, haha. But I really didn’t mind school at all. I really only hated Math. That subject is evil, haha.

Isabelle: I didn’t mind school either! I actually enjoyed it most of the time. Thinking back I think I liked history best, I loved to hear all these stories about world war II and our golden age. Not the prettiest part of history, but so interesting! I really enjoy reading about these topics as well.

What is your favorite drink?

Candyce: My favorite drink is actually tea. I drink it all year round and love tons of flavors. Except in the winter Hot Chocolate becomes my favorite. Especially when whipped cream is added!

Isabelle: TEA TEA TEA! Definitely also tea for me haha. I drink tea all day, every day. And obvisiouly pumpkin spiced lattes right now, since it’s autumn.

What is your favorite song at the moment?

Candyce: At this moment my favorite song is Sam Smith’s new song Too Good at Goodbyes. I love his voice!! I can’t wait until the new CD comes out.

Isabelle: Yes, I love that song too! Also obsessed with the whole Imagine Dragons album Evolve, I just got tickets to see them in februari <3 And I’m also obsessed with The Weeknd all of a sudden, I love the Beauty Behind The Machine album.

What is your favorite food?

Candyce: My favorite food is spaghetti. It has been since I was little. I guess it helps that my grandmother was Italian, haha. Pasta was something we ate a lot of in our family when I was growing up.

Isabelle: PIZZA! Is there anything I need to explain about this? Don’t think so 😉

What was the last thing you bought?

Candyce: This afternoon I bought Harry Potter pyjama pants. I’m actually wearing them at the moment, haha. I am definitely a fangirl.

Isabelle: I just bought the Imagine Dragons concert tickets yesterday. So pumped that I’m going to see them again. I saw them last June and they were incredibly good.

Favorite book ever?

Candyce: If you just read the question before this one I think you can make an accurate guess. There are a lot of books I love, but I think Harry Potter will always be one of my all time favorites. I even have a shelf full of Harry Potter funkos and I am collecting the illustrated editions (they are SO pretty)!

Isabelle: I don’t like this question at all haha! This is such a hard one. But then again, it’s actually not. Like Candyce, Harry Potter will for ever be my favorite. I’m also collecting the illustrated editions and I have a ton of merch. I love reading Harry Potter and just thinking about it now makes me wanna reread it for the 100th time.

Do you have a pet?

Candyce: I have two five month old kittens: Shadow and Shasta. They were born on a farm and my boyfriend’s aunt knows the people there. The shed they were in was torn down, so they needed a home. We happily took them in. Here is a picture when we first got them and what they look like now.

Isabelle: Not sure if you could call it a pet perse but I own the most amazing horse ever! His name is Salome and he’s been with us for 13 years now.

Favorite holiday?

Candyce: That is so easy: Christmas! I love the decorations and the smell of Christmas trees. I love listening to Christmas songs and watching Christmas movies. It makes me feel all warm and happy! Christmas all year long sounds quite appealing at times, haha.

Isabelle: Man, do I keep repeating Candyce! But yes, I also love Christmas most of all holidays haha. It’s just so nice to spend time at home with family, surrounded by lights, food, games, gifts, and just having a good time.

Who is your guy-crush?

Candyce: Hmmm… there are a quite of few celebrity crushes I can think of, but at the moment I will have to go with Channing Tatum.

Isabelle: Haha, how long do you have? But if I have to chose I’d probably narrow it down to Dylan O’Brien and Miles Teller #swoon

What are you afraid of?

Candyce: I think my worst fear is losing the people I love. That and spiders, haha. Those things are just creepy.

Isabelle: SPIDERS! I’m terrified of them. Even typing the word gives me goosebumps haha.

What is your favorite store?

Candyce: Any store that sells books, haha. I love Waterstones and Donner in Rotterdam. They have a great selection of the kinds of books I love to read and Donner for being Dutch has an amazing selection of English books.

Isabelle: Anddd another repeat 😉 Waterstones is probably my fav store in London (where I lived for a year) and Donner in Rotterdam. Both amazing book stores I could spend hours and hours and tons of money haha.

What is your favorite movie?

Candyce: This is a hard question! I will have to go with my childhood favorite and say The Little Mermaid. All Disney movies still make me happy.

Isabelle: I adore all Disney movies, but The Beauty and the Beast will forever be my favorite. I also really enjoyed the live action version that came out earlier this year.

What are your favorite tv shows?

Candyce: You might want to get something to drink and make yourself comfortable, because that list is quite long, haha. I love watching tv shows (even though I am way behind on a lot of them, because I love doing a lot of things). Some of my favorites are: Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Chicago Fire, Riverdale, This Is Us, Designated Survivor, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, Criminal Minds and all NCIS shows. And many, many more…

Isabelle:  Haha, this is actually one of the things Candyce and I bonded over, our insane list of tv shows we watch and love. I would say my all time favs are One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, and Veronica Mars. But some other ones are Teen Wolf, Game of Thrones, Chicago PD & Fire, Grey’s Anatomy, Riverdale, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Quantico, the 100, the Blacklist, Blindspot, Criminal Minds, Nashville, The Originals, Vikings, to just name a few 😉

What is your goal in life?

Candyce: My goal in life is to be happy. Hopefully get a good career started, have kids and of course good reading adventures.

Isabelle: Happiness is definitely my life goal. Reading all the books will help towards that goal 😉 And I would like a family somewhere in the future, but also to travel the world, make something of my career and so on.
